And tell Foley to quit video taping him, and giving Tiger immediate feedback. It must be driving him crazy. I would tell Foley to STFU.

You've got to think that if Tiger thought that way he'd have fired Foley a long time ago. That's kind of the Foley package.

See this is the thing here. Tiger believes in Foley when he shows him the videos. This is what's messing with his head. Tiger doesn't realize it's not good for him, that's why he's out there trying to perfect every part of his swing.

This leads to a mumblejumbled head full of swing thoughts. Which is not good for Tiger, or anybody including me. I would tear my eyes out if my swing coach filled me with that much crazy stuff.

Speak for yourself. I've found video and swing thoughts extremely helpful, and I imagine Tiger does as well (or he would have, like I said, left Foley months ago).

I was referring to the barrage of information loaded into Tigers brain.

One or Two swing thoughts, sure, and an occasional video to show you what you're doing, great.

But Foley is over-doing it. After every single swing at the range he's showing Tiger videos. I mean it's hilarious.

Sez you. I like to practice that way. I get better faster. You can play with different feelings or variations and see which produces the desired results.

Tiger Woods is not coachable by his recent choices.  He has had Foley and Haney and has not really improved.  Possibly he has worsened.  He burned the bridge to Harmon.  He is not the analyzer but plays by feel.  He needs his old swing with a tweek here or there and not a whole new swing.  all the swing thoughts just ruin his natural talent.  When he was 6 years old hitting balls on TV, his swing was better than now.  He'll win when left alone by coaches who coach by the number and gets a caddy like Williams that encourages and pushes him along.

Oh come on.

He won by five a few weeks ago.

People seriously seem to lose their marbles when it comes to Tiger Woods.

Especially the ones who say he just has to go back to the 2000 swing.  You have to wonder where they have been, as Tiger has had to fight through the injuries to his knee that the 2000 swing exacerbated.  Sure, keep the 2000 swing and shred your knee.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
