  1. 1. Which clubs would you want from a premium brand (at the expense of all others)?

    • Woods/Driver
      8
    • Irons/Hybrids
      13
    • Wedges
      0
    • Putter
      0

For me, I would definitely take the premium/OEM driver/woods. I really dislike the look of most knockoff drivers and woods, but if I had to I think I could get by with WalMart hybrids, irons, wedges, and putter. Not saying I'd like to do any of that, but gun to my head I'd take the driver.

In my bag:

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

Gotta go with Irons.  I think the shaft makes a driver and I have played with junky wedges and done just fine.  Obviously there is a difference in feel between a great putter and a knock off.  But I think I could get used to it before junky irons.

Driver/woods.  The knockoffs are so bad its not even funny.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

Woods: :mizuno: JPX 850 9.5*, :mizuno: JPX 850 15*, :mizuno: JPX-850 19*, :mizuno: JPX Fli-Hi #4, :mizuno: JPX 800 Pro 5-PW, :mizuno: MP T-4 50-06, 54-09 58-10, :cleveland: Smart Square Blade and :bridgestone: B330-S

I would say irons. I don't play hybrids, and I don't really like them but there is no better feeling that hitting a great iron shot. I just love the response of my irons and I just couldn't play irons that have a bad feel to them.

I'll go with driver/woods.  I think there is a lot more technology in those clubs and lots more to be lost by playing a low-end brand.

Putter:  Callaway ITrax, Scotty Cameron Studio Design 2, Ping Anser 4

Irons...they have to look like golf clubs and perform to get it close to the hole to tap it in with my Powerbuilt putter.

    • Having talked with him and others briefly, yes, a bit. Other long drive guys have said similar things.
    • Day 574, May 30, 2024 18 holes. The front nine was a worst ball scramble from the white tees. We didn't use a lot of my shots, so that's good.

    • I watched the Cooper video. It seems to me that he's talking about his pressure trace is done moving to the right by P2, not that he's no longer applying an upward force to the club after P2. Am I misunderstanding that? I know that I tend to hit it better if I focus on having my weight shift left before my backswing is "over" (i.e. P4 I think). I'm not sure it's as early as P2, but then I don't think I'm getting 95% of my pressure on my trail foot by P2 either. I think I max out about 75%. On a separate note, as an habitual slider, the stuff about pushing back again with the lead side is golden.
