As a kid with my parents I saw Billy Joel and Elton John at Giant Stadium.

With my college roommate's parents, the Rolling Stones at FedEx Field.

The first I actually paid for myself was Wilco at the 9:30 club in DC (and again at Wolftrap).

I'm disappointed that the White Stripes broke up before I had a chance to see them.

I'm not a huge live music fan. I have been to a few, but I mostly prefer stand-up comedy shows.

Me too.  On the "Destroyer" tour in 1977 I believe.

Motley Crue 1987 at McNichols Arena,  Theatre of Pain

It was so loud, and so many hot girls, it was rediculous.

I've been to a total of 10 Crue concerts over the years.

My parents took me to Alabama when I was young, but I did not care about it.

The first concert I went to that I wanted was Ozzfest 2000. Ozzy himself, Pantara, Godsmack, Static-X, Incubus, Queens of the Stone Age, Soulfly, Pitchshifter, and more. I am sure many have no idea who most of these groups are, but at the time I was great, for me. Seeing Ozzy before he was too drugged out was awesome. Pantara is always great.

The best part was getting free tickets to Motley Crue and Megadeth. That was the best free show ever.

Van Halen sometime in the mid 90s. I was in my early 20s and a late bloomer to the concert thing although I love listening and playing music (guitar, violin are my main instruments).
