And the guy that posted that invalidated his entry because he, too, didn't read the rules.

Not that I'm complaining, I actually really like these contests, but they are very difficult to even come up with a valid entry. Entering earlier in the week helps, but if you're submitting picks anywhere from page 5 on, you have less picks to choose from, and you have to be very weary of all three of your picks.

Thinking about this further, there is some interesting strategy with timing your picks.   An argument can be made that picking just prior to closing could be an advantage -- at least that way you can make sure all three of your picks are "live" -- in other words, if you pick early in the contest, there is a chance that your 2nd and 3rd selections will be chosen as a No. 1 by someone else.

Of course, the downside of picking late is that you are not going to get one of the big favorites at a decent score (sure, you could still pick Tiger, but would have to take -17 or +2 (or something like that).

I like the format -- I didn't read the rules that last time around (shame on me), but now that I did I think it is a lot of fun......

BTW........Kudos to both Walters Golf and TheSandTrap for making this happen....for free......

Yeah I agree 100%! I don't necessarily choose to enter late or early, just at whatever point I see the contest is open and I am around a computer. But there is definitely strategy to both sides. No matter what, the person who wins will have gotten lucky and will be very happy. Because even if you pick Tiger, there's a 1 in 10-15 chance that it's the wrong score, so if you do pick him and are the one guy who got the right score, that's gotta feel like a blessing. On the other hand, if you're the winner (like the U.S. Open winner) who picks a big underdog and wins, then you're probably even more excited.

Great contest, thanks guys!

You can enter again, but you just DQed yourself with a multiple entry.

Yeah, that's the deal:

1) Pick early and stake out at least your first choice at the score you want, OR

2) Wait, make a more informed decision, but with far fewer choices and almost none of the top picks and scores available.

BallStriker sums it up brilliantly:
