It's not always reality for me to warm up. Most of the golf I play is spur of the moment, getting away from work for and hour or two, on the way home etc. I like to take my time but sometimes I have a hour to play 9. Everything about it is fast. My results aren't any better or worse because of that. In fact my lowest 9 of the season was one of those grip it and rip it rounds.

I try to get there at least 20 minutes early to test the greens our or hit a couple chips if they have a chipping green.

2013 Goal:

Usually over an hour early.... I get lost a lot so I like to schedule built in time to get lost. But if I get there an hour early I just hit the putting green and get a feel for the green for 15 minutes, hit the range for a while, then do some more chipping and putting.

I haven't hit a bucket of balls since 1995..............If it's my home course, I just need 5-10 minutes to stretch and I let it rip.  I don't even hit practice putts.  If it's an away course, I'll take an additional 5 minutes on the practice green to get a feel for the pace.

For all you that arrive 30-60min early....LOL....I usually tee off at first light.  Arrive early and it's still dark!

I like to get the 6am time so I don't have much time, maybe finish eating something in the parking lot and some coffee a few putts on the green on the way to the first tee and that's it.

45 minutes. I need to hit some balls to loosen everything up and 10 minutes on the putting green to get a feel for speed.

Since I'm still new to the sport, I've only played on two courses, neither of which requires a tee time.  I get to the course and allow time to hit a small bucket of balls and practice a few putts.

about 30 minutes early...hit some chip shots to get my feeling down and I'm usually ready to go with a few practice swings before teeing up.

*unusual. I wish I could partake in range before play every round. My first nine suffers always without warming up. Unfortunately I get to the course at 5-6 pm and the range closes at 5 or 6 so I can't even get down there to use it. I wish we had a 24 hr range close by but the closest one is about 45 minutes or so away.

The only day I can hit the range before I play is Thursday when I get an actual 18 in.

A 24 hr range would be trouble for me. I get out of work between 10pm-12am most nights and a good stress reliever for me is to go through a bucket. I wouldn't be home until the wee hours of the morning.

My typical routine at the course I play:

Arrive around 6:30.

Check in / pay.

Walk to tee.

Two practice swings and then: doink!

If I have a tee-time, I'll show up close 10-15 minutes early, and I might hit a few putts before playing.

There's a course I've played that bumps you if you don't arrive 20 min before your tee time, so I arrive 20-25 minutes early when I play there.

I'm not much for warming up, I guess.

I usually like to show up about 30 minutes early but the reality is that I get there most times about 10 minutes early.  Just enough time to get ready, pay, hit a few putts and tee off.

It depends on the course & what's at stake.

For example, if it's a tournament round, definitely about an hour early. I want to do everything in slow-motion, be casual, be relaxed.

If it's just a casual round at a course with a range, a half-hour early works. 15 mins of range work, 10 mins on the putting green, let's go.

Some courses I play don't have a range, so hitting warm-up balls is out. If that's the case I just need about 10 mins on the putting green & about 5 mins to do my stretch routine.

That's about it.  Five minutes of focused stretching gets me ready to play better than an hour on the range could.  After I stretch, I like to hit a few chips.  Something about getting that feeling of contact and watching the ball end up near the hole gets me in the right frame of mind.  But it's less than 10 minutes from the time the pro shop opens in the morning until I'm on the tee.
