For some reason, Tom Watson really rubs me the wrong way. To me, he comes off holier than thou, sanctimonious almost. He irks me to no end.

Which is particularly irksome given his own marital and alcohol issues.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

Yeah, most people either don't know about them or just choose to ignore them. He just comes off so disingenuous.

If I had to choose three: Favorite: Tiger, Cabrera, Jimenez Hard to leave off a lot of other guys like Choi, Goosen, Furyk, Daly, and Weir. Least Favorite: Mickelson, Scott, Spieth (I know i'm an awful person)

One doesn't often find Choi on a most-liked list, or a most-hated for that matter. It's a good choice, met him a few years ago and he's a super nice dude. His caddy at the time, Andy Prodger, gave me a couple Nike Platinum balls before they were on the market, just for the hell of it. Now your least liked list? Mmm, that could use some work. ;)

Favorite Players: 1. Rory McIlroy 2. Martin Kaymer 3. Adam Scott They're pretty easy on the eyes too (I'm a girl, ok. I watch for the sport and know how to talk golf) Ieast favorite players: 1. Tiger (I'm sorry he's kind of a jerk) 2. Jason Dufner (well he doesn't really bother me on the course, I didn't like it when he grabbed his wife's behind on tv) 3. Henrik Stenson (kinda negative attitude on course, especially when he breaks clubs. And then the whole taking off all the clothes incident, that explains itself)

McIlroy & Kaymer good on the eyes? Lol

Rocco Mediate is no longer a tour member, so I can't count him, I guess.

Phil, Keegan Bradley, Miguel Angel Jimenez.  Anybody who smokes as much, drinks as much, doesn't work out, and plays as well as MAJ is good in my book.  If he's not a tour member, I'll take Rory.

I don't know who my three least favorite players are.  Whoever talks to much about their right-wing Christian nonsense.

And then he criticized my boy's swing, saying he could fix it in five minutes or something like that. NOBODY PUTS BABY IN THE CORNER!!

Kaymer I simply could not find a good picture of Rory :-$ My wife thinks Rory has a cuteness to him...but the accent helps she says.

I still think he looks and acts like a robot lol....and he's German lol

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
