I know this is so stupid! Why can't they just put the stupid bar on the bottom of the screen and let us watch.

I don't even live in DE.

Now we're back to golf, but they don't have a notice on the bottom of the screen. So if you tuned in for those five minutes you missed golf, and if you missed those five minutes you have no idea a tornado is coming. Great logic NBC, fantastic.

He, Rory, is rather impressive eh ?

Ryder Cup is going to be a good one.

I've not been able to root for Tiger since his, ahhh, transgressions but I'm finding myself rooting for him today on a USA v Euro level.

Be nice for Tiger to deflate the Rory balloon a bit going into Medinah, sure couldn't hurt.

Go Phil !

Yeah, I'm a Phil fan and it's good to see him knockin down some birds for a change.

Rory has some problems!

Man.. watching all this golf wants me to go back out and hit 18.. even after my poor round this morning!

Rory probably wins with a two-putt.

Just think if Tiger's two lip-outs would have went in, we'd be in a playoff right now.

Driver: TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Superfast, 10.5*, Regular

5 Wood:  TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Superfast, 18*, Regular

Hybrid:  TaylorMade Rescue Mid 4, 22*

Irons:  Nike Slingshot OSS 4-PW

Wedges: Cleveland CG16 Black, 52*, 56*, 60*

Putter:  Nike OZ Black T130, SuperStroke Slim 55

Ball:  Bridgestone e6

Rangefinder:  Callaway Razr

I'm really starting to like Rory, I even followed him on twitter. He needs to start wearing blue on all sundays and say that it is because it represents tranquility and calm within the storm. Then we could have ourselves a nice little rivalry.

Weird situation... On the 11th today, Charlie Hoffman catches the right cart path and his ball bounces into the woods.  He goes in looking, finds it, hits it off a tree and it goes back into the woods.

While searching around, Jason Dufner comes walking over with a ball in hand... goes into the woods (about 10yds deep) and is talking/looking around with Hoffman.  He hands him the ball and then walks out.  Moments later a rules official comes over and Hoffman is hitting a ball.

Anyone have any thoughts/clarification on this?

Rory had a few lip-outs too that I'm sure he'd like back.

POY right now looks like Tiger v Rory.  I think Tiger might have to win the BWM and Tour Championship to pass Rory in OWGR; if he wins either and finishes well in the other, then only Rory or Watney could take the Cup from him.  I think Tiger would have to win one of the two remaining playoff events and the Cup to win POY.

I didn`t see any of this be heard them say that there was something like a 10-15 minute delay from the time Hoffman hit his tee ball and his "next" shot from the woods.  This was the reason that the final group arrived at the 11th tee before Tiger and DJ had even teed off, with all 4 guys hanging out a bit and watching the 3rd to last group complete the hole.

From a rules perspective, I found it interesting that they were able to rule that Oosthuizen`s ball was in the heavily wooded hazard left of 5 with virtual certainty because a number of fans had said they heard it go into the bushes.  Had there been no spectators around, it may have been necessary to find the ball to avoid having to play 3 from the tee.  They found 2 other balls, but not Oosthuizen`s.  Definitely an advantage for the pros with big galleries compared to those who don`t under the current rules

That was a nice tournament, great players on the leaderboard and most of them playing to their standards on monday.

Am I the only one who thinks that Louis really missed a big chance on the 17th hole? If he makes par there, he puts a whole lot more pressure on McIlroy. And that none of them birdied the 18th was very surprising too.

Woods: Very nice tournament for him, almost no bad shots from tee to green. Imagine if he weren't afraid to hit his driver (like some of the posters here are saying)... I don't have the stats (link please if available) but I think he just didn't get enough of the 10-20 foot putts to drop. That doesn't mean he putted badly, but just not quite enough. But he now has more than 100'000'000$ reasons not to be sad.

McIlroy: Average week for him from tee to green, if the rough would have been a little higher he would have had more problems to score. But he putted lights out. Only time he didn't look like the winner on Monday was on the 17th, Louis really left him off the hook there.

I hope we see those two battle it out in some majors next year, I wouldn't mind two wins for each one. And this week they will play again the first two rounds together.

Louis: Unfortunately couldn't quite bring his game on Monday, an even round is not good enough in that situation. But hung in there till the end and was one bad chip shot and a wild approach away from winning his first tournament on american soil.

Honarable mention: Mickelson finally playing good again. Snedeker and D. Johnson played their way onto the Ryder Cup team.

For me, that tournament was more fun to watch than 3 of the 4 majors this year.  And I typically don't like extremely-high (low?) scoring events.

I think they reset (meaning fix) the points after next week so that it makes the Tour Champs more interesting. I'm sure it was mentioned any of the Top 5 going into the Tour Champs would win the Fedex with a win in the Tour Champs.
