Alignment Stick Covers? Why?

First it was Bobby Jones ghost in a bottle for sale on eBay, and now I find this "golf accessory" from Iliac.     Alignment stick covers?  $68?    Seriously?

Geez. Almost as expensive as the arm and a leg they charge for alignment sticks themselves at golf stores.

That's absolute genius. I might have to make a living selling golf ball covers, grip covers, glove covers, and the like. Gullible people will buy them without thinking twice, so there's money to be made. 70$ a pop? I might definitely make a living doing that.

In fact, even more genius is the fact that he has 2 of them in the display bag. This can't be overlooked: Even though you could fit 2 rods into one headcover, that will make people buy 2!

Besides, they look pretty good quality at least, so it's not like you're getting ripped off, right? Think of the money you'd save over going through a couple cheap ones; this one's built to last. And ergonomic, too.

The one problem: You can't go walking back to the tee and ask the group behind you if they'd seen an alignment rod headcover. You'd burst from the shame.

You know ... some of those driver headcovers are pretty expensive and valuable ... maybe they should make headcover headcovers??

P.S.  I already (inadvertently) have alignment stick headcovers ... seems like every time I return my 3 wood or hybrid to the bag, one (or both) sticks finds its way into that headcover.

One word... iliac.  They are expensive.  I'm not sure if they still have them... But they had like an $80 pair of underpants at one time. LOL

You know, it this thing was like $5, I'd probably buy it... i almost always run into the problem of the sticks going inside my driver or 3w cover when those clubs get put back into the bag... but $68... hell no!

From looking at the Iliac covers, it looks like you could achieve the same effect by simply sticking a grip over the top of the sticks.   Voila, a $5 alignment stick cover!

That's a brilliant idea, actually.

Edit: doesn't work. Two won't fit and one is obviously really loose. Plus, I sometimes already use a $99 cover for my alignment sticks (but the sticks are free) .
