Most durable golf glove?

Can anyone reccomend a golf glove that is very durable? seems when practicing on the range my gloves are wearing out faster then they should.

I have good luck with the $9.99 Nike Dura Feel. Usually get a few months out of it. Though these days I only wear gloves when it's cold enough to need it, then I wear two. After switching to the Winn DriTac I prefer not to use a glove.

If you are wearing out a lot of gloves you should probably check out your grip. I use to wear out gloves but found I had to change my grip, which I did, hold the club more in the fingers. Now one glove will last for several months and I play and practice a lot. Also the new grip allows the club to release during the swing.

I'd check your grip too. I use FJ weathersof gloves and I've played the same one from August until yesterday. Still wasn't worn out, I'd just played in it so much it was stretched a bit and starting to wrinkle in the palm. It's still in my bag as a range only glove now. I play 10+ rounds a month so that glove had seen 35 rounds and probably 10,000 range balls.

Hizrl or the Bionic glove hands down! I have hyperhydrosis which is excessive sweating in the palms and can easily rip any of the main stream gloves people use in a round! Not with Hizrl or a Bionic!

Try the FootJoy WeatherSof 2-pack.  It's a very comfortable, well-fitting glove (for me at least), and you can get 2 for $18.

Change gloves every 5-10 shots on the range, depending on how hot/humid it is.  Change every hole on the course.  Gloves will last longer and you'll never have to hit a shot with a wet, stretchy glove.

I think the golf glove market is a big hustle.

I use them, as do most golfers. But they are produced, marketed, and sold basically as disposable items.

I think that they could be made to last longer without stretching or wearing out so quickly. I think they could last longer than 6 months (seems to me to be the average).

Golfers in general seem to accept that durability of a glove beyond a few months' use is not important or perhaps not even possible.

I want somebody to make a glove that lasts for years instead of months. Until then, I will be part of the problem, and keep buying them 2 for $20 every 6 months and think it's a hustle without doing anything about it, haha!

When playing or practicing, you need to rotate your gloves. A damp glove is more likely to sretch or tear than one that has aired out. During really hot weather, I may rotate three gloves.

Dirt and grime. plus accumulated body salt, can make the glove hard and stiff. This means the gloves have no tackiness and are likely to crack and split. You can wash leather gloves with saddle soap and a sponge - this gets out the gunk - and the soap restores some of the leather's moisture.

The Bionic gloves have reinforced palms and fingers, which promise to improve durability and anchor the club better. I will be rotating two of them this next season, to see how long they last. Thanks for all the replys, in Texas it gets very hot and humid so my gloves definitely get hard and stiff.

I am going to try the Bionic glove and also rotating them.

I use the Bionic stable grip which is not usga conforming unless you have medical exemptions which I do for arthritis and another medical problems in the hand. They have a relax grip and a new Performance grip whis is usga conforming, but it does not really matter unless your playing tournament play and they go by usga rules! I do not live in a hot n humid area but my hands can get like im in a swimming pool and these gloves have last me the longest! I would like to get the black version because my sweat makes the glove look dirty in white but that wouldnt be an issue with most people that don't sweat like that! The Hizrl glove has 2 different options with a black palm made of Kangaroo leather but does not have padding and is a more traditional golf glove not for arthritis but has great absorbing properties. Both these gloves are more costly but to me pay off in the long run. Also I agree completely with WUTiger with swapping out gloves during play or atleast taking the 1 off as frequently as possible after every shot! I use the Hizrl Trust Control when using their product. Both these glove companies clearly state washing them will increase their longevity and even make them softer by doing so! Both companies offer some different choices and the new Bionic performance that conforms I am about to try next!

I used the Mizuno Retroflex for years now and am really happy with it.  Even playing/practicing almost every day, I still get at least 6 months use out of them.  Honestly, I usually retire one when it becomes too nasty and crusty, not because its worn out.

My wife bought me the Bionic glove once as a gift and the seam ripped open during the first round... I use the Titleist Players glove exclusively now, I find they fit my hand the best and have the best feel, almost like having no glove on at all. Like some others have mentioned, I retire the glove when it gets cruddy, long before it shows any sign of breaking.

I love the puma mono line glove, got 5 black and white and 5 orange, for 10$. I use black for practice and orange for tournaments. I'm on my 2nd black and my second orange, I have been using them since march. I only switch out the orange ones so they don't look nasty when I play. My flaw though is losing them or leaving them in my pocket and watching them shrink in the wash.

I just recently bought a Hirzl glove.  I've only played one 18 hole round with it so far, so I have no idea how it will hold up yet.  I sure hope it holds up well though, I don't feel the need to grip the club nearly as tight with it.

I have played golf for 53 years and have tried a lot of gloves......That said, the Bionic glove is the most durable of all the leather gloves. They cost more ($25) but they last 3 to 6 months. I play twice a week 52 weeks a year as I live in Florida. Hands down, the Bionic glove is well worth the money paid.

I use FJ Stasoft gloves, the one in my bag at the moment has been in use in since the first week of august. I played once a week and went to the range once a week from august through the end of october and the glove is still in great condition. When I start playing again in the spring I will probably still be able to use it. The best part about the stasoft for me is that they keep the soft feel much longer (hence stasoft) than a lot of other gloves I have tried.

I've been using the taylormade Targus glove for a while now with good success. I don't know if they still are, but they had been running a buy 2 get a 3rd free for some time. In addition, I've found that straightening out the glove and putting it back in the plastic and box after a round has helped with longevity.
