This is a pretty good visual of what is going on.  The music is dumb though.

Trying.  I am getting a cast type thing put on my arm on Thursday.  Giving that about 8 weeks.

Cool, you still have some potential for golf this season. Wish you well on a speedier recovery.

BTW, now every time I pronate and release my wrist I am hearing clicking noises. Why did I watch the video?

Still a lot of wobble, but the forehand throw is getting much better. :-D

I love that pitch elbow at A6 :smartass:

Haha, I guess I need to grip the disc a lot more firmly...

I wouldn't know. I would have assumed the wobble is from release conditions, kind of like how a football spirals or not. In my limited experience with throwing discs, gripping tighter usually led to one of my fingers getting snagged on it and releasing late.

I think that is part of it as well.

Is backhand less wobbly? I do this but then I have beginners distance.

Yeah probably not as wobbly.  I also have beginners distance.

In my past experience playing ultimate frisbee, if you start the frisbee with a downward push it can reduce wobble and allow you to put a lot more spin and force behind the throw. It's been a long time (college/university) since I've played, so I don't know if there is any new technology to make that downward force less necessary?

Dude, post a lot more, that video preview of the ECU Sublaxation still gives me the heebie jeebies, and I can't wait until we pass this page. . .

Cool. Kinda like a normal golf shot.. except wobble is not (I hope not .. :loco: ) in the equation.

Here is my nine hole disc golf round from this morning.  I am seeing some nice improvements.  I am also still making some terrible throws though as well.  Made nice birdies on 3 and 4.  I am trying to throw more backhand throws off the tee as I get more comfortable with it.  I just don't have quite enough power for them yet but it is getting there.  Made nice backhand throws off of the 6 and 8 tee boxes.  I must have been somewhere close to even par.  I am really enjoying playing disc golf though my injury.  It keeps me active.

Dood, good throws there through tight openings on couple of those holes...

This whole disc golf thing got me thinking. Game Golf should partner with a company that makes the discs for disc golf to have the tag put in the disc.

Then you can track your shots using your game golf for the disc golf course :-D

Thanks, yeah it is a lot of fun to actually clear one of those openings.  I don't usually do that.  :-)

Ha!  Sounds like disc golf just got really expensive.

    • Day 21, May 25.  Hit "the whole bucket" as practice today after reviewing my Skillest lesson.  I think something crept into my swing last week that wasn't in the lesson, so I went back to the lesson and renewed my focus.  Each ball was a minute or so, 2-3 slow rehearsal backswings and checking the mirror for how far back I was going. "The whole bucket" means every ball I have in the bin at my indoor practice room;  I counted when I put them back, that's six dozen plus six total.  That is probably more full swings than I took over the weekend (excluding range warm-ups) in two rounds!  But these were all with a 6-iron.
    • Day 265 5-25 Hit some balls just to see where i was, no "thoughts' except getting arms in front. Did some recording where i focused on getting chest through and arms in front.
    • Day 76 (25 May 26) - Broke out the "vintage" clubs (MacGregor blades, Wilson 4150 laminates) to work with clubs that are much less forgiving.  Worked through the bag using hard foam balls for the full swings, regular balls for the chips and pitches.  Found it to be a more focused session on making consistent contact.
    • Can you elaborate on this?  There's a par-4 hole at the course I've played the most (was my home course for over a decade, now 50 miles away but I still go and play there) whose green is below the fairway and I realized recently it's one of three holes on the course I've never made birdie, despite that I often have a short iron into the green for my second shot.  It isn't even that I haven't made birdie, but I realize I often don't hit the green.  My typical play of the hole is to have a near-GIR and sometimes I get up and down, but not as often as I would if I were trying to 2-putt.
