Whow mizuno makes so sweet clubs. I wouldn't want this set in the bag tho. Think this will cost me a few strokes. But yeah they look awesome.

As far as dress to impress goes. Stepping up the tee with this in hand, i think your 2 up already.

I have read the specs and seen some videos on youtube and so far wonderful reviews. It's been a while since Mizuno has come out with a muscleback that will be a classic and the MP4 is it. I have a set of vintage Mp32s and MS801s and am currently using the MP62s. Simply love Mizuno irons and I will be keen to own a set of these MP4s when the prices comes down alittle. By the way, for the MP4s, Mizuno has shrunk the heads alittle from 8 iron to PW. This is to help us hit closer to the centre more consistently because the face is smaller. Hi Steve, I use the MP62s too and I am loving it. If you are having fun with your MP62s like I am, then, you will like the MP4s. The MP62s are not for everyone, you need to be striking the ball pretty well to really experience the benefits of this wonderful dual muscle back iron. When it first came out together with the MP52s, I choose the MP62s because I wanted an iron closer to a pure muscleback but with a slight built in forgiveness which is what the MP62 is. My understanding from the videos online by: Mizuno staff, Charles Howell III and another view by Mark Crossfield that the MP4s are the softest feel iron ever and yet communicates a positive and solid feeling.

MP H4's are a little bit less soft, because they are more progressive set, more forgiving in the longer irons.

I recommend go to a golf shop that has the mizuno cart with able to switch out shaft. I highly recommend trying out KBS shafts. They are heads above a better shaft than True Temper. Rifle Project X shafts are close, but KBS are just better.

As pretty as those look, I don't really want them within 10 feet of my bag unless they're in the bag of someone I'm playing for money. Having hit the MP-69's before out of curiosity, I can say that blades like this aren't for me regardless of how much I want them based off looks and feel on pure strikes.

Have to say, they do look pretty sweet. Always found Mizzys look a bit flat (lie I mean) as standard to me but I guess I could always get fit properly for these...

Mizuno's are generally more flatter clubs, but that wont hurt you much.

Maybe, maybe not. Think it's more of an optical illusion than anything else but then I'm quite big on clubs that look 'right' to me at address. Always had problems with clubs I'm convinced aren't 'right' even if it's purely an optical trick. That said, if they were flat, not sure I'd be too happy with the toe of the club hitting turf in advance of any other part of the sole.

    • Day 118: 4/23/24 Stack Full Speed spectrum training session 2/24. Finished 1 mph over last session but 4 mph slower than the preceding program.
    • Hitting some good shots on my golf trip. It's good I can tell when I hit better shots the way I want to swing the ball versus when I use an older swing. Shockingly, the short game has been at worst, not harmful to my game. I am using similar feels to the full swing, in that I try to get my hands down. I've been nipping the ball clean off the turf.
    • I was laid off two months ago. Good severance, a 90 day layoff announcement regulation the company wanted to avoid so technically I'm still on the payroll for a few weeks, and a bunch of banked PTO, so I'm in a great spot and working on a startup idea I've been batting around with my brother for a while. That means I've got time to get to the gym! I'm at like 60-75 minutes 5x a week of strength training, and either a run or a bunch of time playing soccer or tennis with my daughter on the weekends. Stronger than I've been in forever. Up ~5 pounds of (noticeable!) muscle!
    • Do you have examples of exceptional scores versus their established handicap indexes?
    • Day 539, April 23, 2024 Mirror work once again. When I get back to swings, I'll just do it A. LOT.
