One of the nice things about the Internet is that nobody has to know who you are. You can pop in, post your thoughts, and leave, all in relative obscurity.

One of the bad things about the Internet is that nobody has to know who you are. You can pop in, post your thoughts, and leave, all in relative obscurity.

I recently asked several of our Forum Leaders and Supporters to take the small step of adding at least their first name to their signatures.

I'd like to ask everyone else to do that as well (if you're not sure when you get a signature, read: ). Just add your first name to your signature. It likely won't really identify you to anyone, but it will let people know that there's a real person named Steve or Tony or Ivan or Ulas on the other end of the discussion. It'll let people address you by your name rather than "golfer12683" or whatever you've chosen as your username. It'll bring a bit of humanity to the discussion.

So, please consider adding your first name to your signature, and thank you.

I like this. I always prefer addressing people by their names instead of their usernames. I already made it easy for everybody else...

Like working on the swing,,score means nothing to me. Might just go to the range and give up playing... ( might happen)

Done, I think I've signed ~Tom B. on many of my posts already anyway.

My 3 sisters & 2 Bros. in laws still call me Thomas, which is fine,

But "Tommy" is like Nails on a Chalkboard to me.

I ordered a Chicken and an Egg on the Internet, to find out which came first... I'll keep you posted!

hello everyone , I'm John and i just registered so the thing with the signature might last a little while. I'm a newbie here as you can see and also on the tee, got recently pulled in by my brother in law, now i'm not sure if its because of the thrill of playing golf or to get away from my sister LOL, long story short its cool to be here where i can read many many useful threads and learn every day about golf and hopefully that will improve my game. and thank you all in advance for having the patience with me as a beginner :D

    • Day 36 (16 Dec 25) - continued the exaggerated left foot weight shift trigger adding some easy low flighted pitches with the 5h and a few putting style bump and runs with the 5h as well.
    • Day 442 - 2025-12-16 Got some swings in at an indoor academy a little south of Erie.
    • Has anyone played the new Maxfli forged irons? For the first time in I don't know how many years, they have come out with new clubs. From what I read, Maxfli was bought by Taylor Made a long time ago which then took all of their ball making technology and patents in order to get into that market. The club business was left to whither and the reorganized company, now a part of Dicks / Golfworks / Maltby, is producing these new clubs. (Their Tour X balls which I play are really good.) Anyway, I tried them both out at Golf Galaxy. There's a player's distance iron (XC-3) and a blade (XC-2) and both feel really, really nice, almost "Mizuno-like" in their soft buttery feel and they're a bargain at $800 for a set. I'm planning to ditch my Titleist's and want to go back to a forged iron. I almost pulled the trigger on the Mizuno Pro-245's last summer, but a damaged tendon sheath in my finger combined with a back injury messed up my golf game so I held off. Now the Pro-245's are no longer available, soon to be replaced by the MX-15. (At twice the price of the Maxfli's...that's what got my attention in the first place.) If anyone has played with the new Maxfli's or just tried them out like I did, let me know what you think.
