Great idea I think as it seems more personal.

When I can update my signature I will. I try and sign my messages with my first name anyway.

Until then, no guesses to what my first name is from my user name...

Bumping this thread for any new people.

If you can add a signature, consider adding one with at least your name. It helps everyone get to know you a bit better.

Tom R for Thomas. Meaning & History Greek form of the Aramaic name תָּאוֹמָא (Ta'oma') which meant "twin". In the New Testament this is the name of the apostle who initially doubts the resurrected Jesus. So if it seems like I dont believe you dont feel too bad. Just where is that signature icon on the mobile site?

Yeah, but I see other Tom names so I figured Tom R, and I havent yet gotten to a PC to do it, the mobile version has no signature control.

Hi all,

To new to add a signature but the name here is Don but my family and wife call me Bruce.(middle name)

I like Don better.

Don

Took up golf late in life with a lot to catch up.

I'm too new to add a signature, too, but whenever my wife calls "Larry", I come running.  Especially if there is food in the offing.

My family in Ohio still calls me Gene, but I haven't gone by that since grade school.

Effective by the end of tonight, Forum Leaders are basically required to include their (first) name in their signatures.

That would mean @ghalfaire , @Dave2512 , and some others should hop on this train soon. And I'm only mentioning the two of you because you posted back-to-back in one thread and I saw that you were both Forum Leaders.

@Crim too. And others.

    • Love resurrecting this thread! The float-load feel bit and then the old video I think from Mike on how to hit low and high chips were the kickstart to my short game journey, where I play well below my handicap (officially 9.x right now, via arccos I only lose 1 stroke per round to a scratch golfer in my short game). I've spent lots of time with float-load and I can be a sniper inside ~40 yards with my GW and 60*. But I actually just started trying a version of this for like ~40-70 yard shots! 70-115 I have a like hands to belly button height stock partial swing shot that I hit with SW-9i dialed.
    • Played 9 today. Good and bad. Full Swing - Right arm straighter feel needs to be there 100%.  Short Game - Just needs a good couple of practice sessions to polish. Too long of backswing most of the time.  Putting - more straight back and straight through “feel” works well. Hitting center of putting face more.
    • My rule of thumb is a PW for everything from 100 yards in except specialty shots like a flop or a low runner.  I find it easier to eyeball it for distance and swing on feel for the distance I need to hit
    • Day 3: Worked on putting at different distances focusing on matching the backswing and follow-through lengths.
