Snow blower, tractor, or by hand? If by hand that should increase your driving distance this year by about 30 yards. :-D

No shoveling, snow blower. I know better because the distance gained by strength would be quickly lost due to severe back trauma. :-\

So we got 13 inches Wed night going into Thursday and it's bright and a little warm today, so we have some melting going on. But we are getting some more snow tomorrow and some cold then warm, then cold again weather next week. It's been a cold and crappy winter.

On the bright side, I am going to Melbourne, AUS...at the end of the month, so if you know of a public access course that I should play there let me know. Yea!

Why do they call golf "golf"?  Because all the other four letter words were taken.

A snow blower is no picnic either.  This storm we had heavy wet snow, about 9 inches.  It was like pushing one of those tackling sleds that football players use.

OK, on Thursday, the forecast for Saturday night was a dusting - 2".  On Friday, it was 2 - 4".  Today we have a Winter Storm warning with 6 - 8" and a blizzard warning on the coast.  Geez!

Yep Well, actually Winston, but pretty much. It was pretty damn windy, but probably 45 degrees.

I am living it up in New England and lately we have been getting battered with snow and dropping temps. I honestly am not that upset by the amount of snow that we get, but how cold it has been. It has been consistently 10 degrees below freezing for the entire winter. We just had a two day long snow storm and it brought freezing rain and 16 inches of snow. But....the forecast says that we will be getting into the 40s and low 50s for the next couple weeks. I am hoping that this will melt some snow and I can bring out the net and hit some balls soon.

We must harness the crystiles.

@jakepalm , this has not been a typical winter in NE.  We usually get cycles of cold then warm.  It has been colder than normal.  The snow amount is a bit above average.  Last year, Worcester, MA got battered with snow.  I recall that they had more snow than any large city in the US, over 100 inches.  But at the same time, Boston had much less and they are only about 50 miles apart.

Looks like some more snow possible, 1-4" on Tuesday in the DC area and then in the low 60's to mid 50's for a few days.

Just torched my back cleaning off my roof. Fack. I'll need another 6 months of winter to heal...

Today is the nicest day we've had in a loooong time.

Most of the snow is gone (except for in the really shady places). Probably too wet to be enjoyable enough to have played this morning and I have to work this afternoon so didn't play but my wife and I hit quite a few balls in the yard. It was actually her idea which is encouraging since she normally doesn't like to practice.

Spent most of my time trying to get her to have the feel of not hitting at the ball from the top and starting the downswing with the lower body. She did make a small improvement, but nothing much comes natural to her.

All I have to say is that Pat Summit is a damned genius.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
