Hello.... Recently moved from Jacksonville, FL to northern NJ. Looking for golf buddies, drinking buddies, ice hockey buddies, buddies in general. I live near Rugters where I287 and I80 meet and will drive just about anywhere to play some golf. I used to be pretty regular on this site but dropped off for some time away from golf.

Bump for the get together day.

Also...are greens harder in the NE than the SE persay? Ive noticed that in the southeast when I hit a shot 100 yards it usually lands on a soft green and either stops or backs up a bit. Here in NJ I hit a shot 100 yards and it bounces and goes 107 or so. Now Im concerned that I should be hitting a 95 yard shot and letting the ball release up to the pin....

      Day 44, June 17.  Today was some preliminary stretching, exploring what I'll want to set up as a regular routine (both while on vacation without clubs and when I'm back) (aside: this is part of an upcoming goal to stretch daily in a meaningful way, but I don't plan to count it as practice on days that I can meaningfully practice with a club)

      Having a rough week. Went to the Dr. because I was really weak and could hardly swing my driver.  I take Propranolol 20 mg tablets twice a day. Seems like the Propranolol was driving my pulse down (low 50's).  So we cut the dosage in half and I started taking my blood pressure. It was a little high but pulse came up.   Then yesterday I raised it to 15 mg tab by taking it 3 times a day. Blood pressure 127 / 77 Pulse 75.  Heading out tomorrow morning for 18 holes.    I have my driver set at 10.5* but seem to have my swing speed to low and I can't get the lift on the ball I need.  I have not played this week in hopes I will have the strength to raise my swing speed. I may have to raise my loft to 12* . (I will take my driver wrench) tomorrow. (This Parkinson's is a pain in the butt.)  Will give you a report when I get back.    Retired Old Man, Terry

      You still got to lift your arms. You basically just roll your wrist over in the 1st half of the backswing.
