LOL!!!  Me too!  Looking at Google Maps, I think we're fairly safe.  No houses too terribly close.  Cars, OTOH, may be in trouble.  1 and 18 both appear to border Leucadia, which is a fairly busy road.  Good news is that hooks will be required on those holes to hit cars ... slices will be safe.  (Cept for @Lihu )

I tend to hook, so I'm good. :-$

My goal tomorrow is to not hit any houses or cars

Forget the houses and cars, I am more worried about hitting one of you all the way my game has been.

Great job team. I'm glad all those short missed putts didn't come back to haunt us today. I'm not sure who had the worst effort of the group. Between my two foot miss on hole 1 that almost didn't reach the cup and Pakoh's 2 footer for birdie on 15 that didn't even graze an edge, there was some stiff competition!

Hacker teeing it up on #2. 150 yard par 3. And, he stuck it to about 15-20'. Kaili on the same hole, probably with a pitching wedge. ;) Slight pull, looked like just a yard or two off the green. Nice ocean view looking west from the highest point on the course, the fairway of #7. Looking towards the 7th green from the same spot. (This hole had a TV on the tee so you could see whether or not the group ahead of you had cleared the fairway. Some cool beetles chowing down on some yummy cactus near the 14th tee.

Good times!  Thanks guys!

( where we playing next?)

Set a record for GIR today - I hit 13!!!, and I also had 2 nGIR - but still managed to screw it all up.  Had 39 putts!!!!!!!!!!  And throw in 2 double bogeys caused by OB tee shots, and I somehow managed to shoot an 81.

My shot of the day was a 230 yd hybrid to about 12 feet on the third hole.  Just missed the eagle putt though.  That shot was outdone by (at least) two others though.  Colin had a 245 yard 3wood to about 3 feet on #11, which he tapped in for eagle.

And on 18, Barrett hit a mid or long iron of some kind - I'm going to guess a 6 iron from 190?? - to about 10" ... another eagle.

Some great shots today boys!!!

Early returns on next outing are that we should head back out to the Coachella Valley.

In for Coachella, tristanhilton85 this is your neck of the woods right?

All for this he always has a messed up drive.

I know.  Seriously though ... the swing looks really good in those pictures!  He's definitely on the right track.

    • Okay, I'm genuinely curious about this "biodegradable leather" trend in golf. Are we talking snake oil here? I mean, golf balls, clubs... they all end up in the water eventually. Is this just greenwashing, or is there actually a real environmental benefit? And honestly, does it even perform as well as traditional leather? I don't want to sacrifice distance for the planet, you know? Anyone with real-world experience with these eco-friendly golf goods? Spill the tea!
