This is a myth of the highest order, perpetrated by the media. Romo has 30 4th qtr or OT comebacks for wins. He's 4-0 in Dec this year with 12 TDs and 1 INT. Best passer rating in the league. He will not choke chiefly because for the 1st time in his career he has an O Line. The problems he's experienced in the past can be attributed to the fact that he hasn't had a team around him his entire career, certainly not an O Line. So, he's been required to do it all and a few times he's screwed up at inopportune moments. Romo is a top 5 or 8 QB over his career, Dalton is somewhere between 18 and 25. Simply can't compare the two.

Agreed. It's just that damn field goal attempt that everybody remembers. :(

His playoff record is 1 -3.  Not good.  That is what everyone remembers and is not a myth.

Sure, the qb is the only player with a record. I won't argue he's had some bad games but he's not a choker. If he gets a SB, he's in the HoF. Could be this year if the defense can keep up their end.

It may get him closer to HoF consideration, but 1 win does not make a career.  I don't dislike the guy at all.  He has skill.  I more blame the coaching staff and owner for their lack of success in the post season.

One super bowl mvp would put him in the HOF. At least I think it would. He's been good not great but 1 ring does a lot for a career.

AFC not in the hunt this year. Lombardi will rest in Dallas, Green Bay or Seattle come Feb. But, enjoy the playoffs...

Green Bay/New England Super Bowl and I suspect that the spread will be a push in a neutral site.

This tells me that Romo doesn't perform well when pressured. I would say that it's a safe bet that he will be pressured in playoff games.

If anyone but Denver plays Seattle though the spread would be rather large, for a super bowl anyway (were talking Touchdown favorite or so)... Pittsburgh's super bowl hopes will rely heavily on the health of Le'Veon Bell... I mean a hyper-extension is painful, but usually not season ending....

Check out his career numbers, definitely Hall-worthy. He's passed most of Aikman's career marks but lacks the title that is so important for consideration. Just one title would get him over that hump and put him in, probably as a 1st ballot pick along with Witten. Gotta get the SB though.

I completely agree. If Jerry Jones would hire a decent GM they could win one with Romo. Dallas should win their division every year for the for see able future.

Seattle's defense is good.  But before we anoint them the '85 Bears equivalent, lets look at who they have played and their opposing QB.

The good QBs they faced were early in the Season

Manning - Made him look bad

Rogers - Made him look bad

Rivers - Rivers beat them at SD.

Romo - Romo beat them at home.

Then in the remaining 12 games:

San Fran twice - Kaepernick's had a regressive year and SF was an 8-8 team.  86 Rating and 19 and 10 TD/Int

Arizona twice - Second and third string QBs  Stanton 78 rating, Lindley 56

Rams twice - Second and third string QBs, Hill 83 rating and Davis 85 rating and Davis beat them.

Eagles - Mark Sanchez, enough said

Chiefs - Lost to Alex Smith 93 rating

Giants - Eli on a down year 92

Raiders - Derek Carr 76

Panthers - Newton when he was really struggling mid season 82 rating

Wash - Cousins 86 rating

What I am stating is the Seahawks have not faced a good playoff QB and a team with a good offense since Oct 12.  I would be worried if I was a fan.  The good news, is the road to the SB is through Seattle.

I don't think anyone is calling them the 85 bears but they have been the best D for the last 2 years. I think they will be hard to beat at home. GB can do it but Wilson looks better than he did last year. It's not like their D took a big step back. The Cowboys beat them without Cam Chancellor and Bruce Irving. You are what your record says you are so right now they are the best team in the NFC. I don't think New England or Denver can beat Seattle or Green Bay for that matter.

I have heard the comparisons, so its not me.  I think their offense has regressed a bit.  I like Wilson a lot as a QB, but he seems off when its up to him to win games this year as compared to last.

I think their offense is better this year. They went 12-4 with losses @ St Louis, @ San Diego, @ Kansas City, and @ home vs Dallas. They have given up 39 points in their last 6 games. Also Russell Wilson 24-2 at home in his career. They can be beat at home but it's not an easy task.

No big surprises so far in the playoffs. major self destruct by Cincy and the Steelers.

No Bell For Pit and no AJ Green for Cincinnati. I'd hardly call that a major self destruction.

It was. Cincy has a lot of tools. Dalton couldn't hit a target to save his life. Play calling was horrible. It's a shame to see all the talent on Cincy go to waste. I hope Adam Jones and some others find a worthy team.
