Wow, lol yeah, he's a little intense. Uncalled for.

On the other side, PGA players have enjoyed his company lately from what I've been reading.

'Dumbass' is more on point anyway. That's what I call myself when I miss a short putt - usually from  rushing / carelessness. There are tons of highly skilled gay golfers and female golfers so that and 'hit it Sally' and 'Lil Girl' are not in my phrase book. I imagine it's just a phrase he picked up in competitive sports as a kid where I heard it a lot.

On the other hand, if a gay person happened to be harassing him, simply because they viewed him as 'not on their team' and he missed the putt it might be more called for.

Reed bounced back in my eyes from the 'Top 5' comment with his play at the Ryder Cup and having a sense of humor about himself with the 'shhh' photo with his Ryder Cup competitors when he was at the world match play. This appears to be a step back.

I honestly think golf would get higher ratings if all golfers were miked up so we could hear everything they say because it would be hilarious. It  would have to be only on network that doesn't have to bleep the language.Everything ive said on a golf course compared to what reed said makes him sound like a saint but hes still a douchebag.

Honestly it just seems like a perfectly normal release under pressure to me. I've played with people who were FAR worse than that (letting off a good ten seconds of profanity because their tee shot found the rough) and I know that I often go off in my head at myself. The people blowing this out of proportion in the media should sit near a hockey bench during a game and they'll have enough material for the next month.

Wow! I'm watching Adam Scott play a par 5 like I would.  He's taken 2 penalty strokes and hit his 7th onto the green.

Graeme continues to hold on to the lead after round 3. I really hope he can go wire to wire. I'm curious if he's ever done that before as a pro. His lead is now done to just one stroke though. Some Japanese dude is right behind him, with Bubba Watson and Martin Kaymer just 2 strokes back. Rickie Fowler is 3 strokes back. It is anyone's tournament tomorrow.

It's cool to see G mac play. The last hole he hit a 268 yard drive and a 124 yd 9i. I don't know why but I like watching him more than guys like Bubba hitting it 295 every hole. Maybe its because I can hit a 9i that far and a driver once and a while :).

I love it when guys like Bubba and G-Mac are paired up because I enjoy watching a little bit of both.

Whoa: I just realized you said 124 yard 9iron....is that right??? That's how far I hit mine.

Stenson shot a +9 today.

That's like Kevin Na. Na was five off Graeme until he shot 79.

Had to be a specialty shot of some kind, no way is Gmac's stock 9i only going 124y.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

It was up hill and a bit into the wind but I was still surprised he was hitting a 9.

I don't root against anybody, but if there's anybody who I'm not rooting for and don't mind watching implode ... it's Bubba. :-P

Go Rickie!  (And random Japanese dude ;))

EDIT:  Wow, with his body language, I sorta thought he packed it in.  guess not.

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
