Ian Poulter Rants On Twitter About His Putting, Even After Lesson

After missing a five-foot putt to force a playoff at the Turkish Airlines Open on Sunday, Ian Poulter was contacted by Greg Norman via Twitter (of course) about an "easy fix" to improve his putting. Poulter said he'd give the Shark a call, with the hopes of polishing up his game with the flat stick.

The two reportedly spoke on the phone on Tuesday night, but Poulter was reluctant to share the advice to the public. I guess we'll just have to wonder what was said, but it doesn't appear to have worked.

Poulter went on a mini Twitter rampage Thursday after posting a 3-over 75 in the first round of the DP World Tour Championship. The subject of that rant: his putting.

I think Ian needs to work on his long game more,

Last year he was 153rd in GIR %, 124th in Proximity, 98th in Scrambling, 92nd in Strokes Gained Putting

Seriously, he was just a bellow average PGA Tour player last year. He needs to get off the twitter and get practicing.

I thought I heard him say (or maybe I read in an interview) sometime in the last year that he had figured out some key to putting that he wasn't willing to share with anyone. (It was after he had sunk one of those long putts "from another zip code.")

hahahahaha, this is so awesome.

Also, there's a chance he may have seen it. I used to talk to Jon Jones back and forth via twitter...he was really cool about it, among other big time MMA fighters. It's clear Poulter doesn't have someone doing his tweets for him so....there's a chance.
