I just got my invitation to order an Amazon Echo.

I have about as close to zero interest in doing so as I could possibly have without it actually being zero.

This thing screams to me spy on customer, get all his preferences and spam him!

That is were the future is heading anyways. Honestly it doesn't bug me.

The device looks like an interesting idea. I heard the speaker isn't that impressive, and it has a lot of bugs in the voice activated search. Hopefully Amazon can build on this.

Amazon already has so much info on me already, it's scary. The stuff I buy, more of it since I'm a Prime member, the files and photos I store on its cloud solutions, the shows I watch through its Firestick, the books I read through Kindle.

My guess is that in 5-10 years this functionality will be ubiquitous.

But then again, what the hell do I know?
