Tiger pulled drive on 15 (his 6th) left into the water. Geez. Wheels coming off.

Tiger recently said that he was getting the same numbers with his driver like he did when he was 18. I think he meant 18 handicap.

Seriously, in the water, in the bunker, skulls his bunker shot past the green, duffs another chip, two putt for triple bogey. :bugout:

Try double followed by triple. Ugh

Edit: Ooops, I thought you said two straight double-bogeys. Nevermind!

Nice sand save on 16.

Not really.  A pretty poor sand shot by any reasonable standard.  Made a nice putt, but he was lucky that wasn't another bogey.

Bubba must not have gotten the memo.  He's throwing visors into the stands on 16....!

True.

Nice putt on 16. :-)

30 yards short of the green on 17 and doesn't get on in 2.

Sad to say, put a fork in Tiger. He's done.

+7 on the day, +9 for the tournament, yeah, he's not making the cut.

30 yards short of the green on 17 and doesn't get on in 2.

From there, he basically bogey-ed a 30yard par 3 hole. This has to be demoralizing.

It's all mental right now and his biggest challenge going forward will be overcoming that.

That said, it is VERY early.  We will see where he is at by the summer if he continues to stay healthy.

It'll be interesting how he plays next week where he has a bit more room to miss off of the tee.

It's starting to get a little strange when Tiger doing "well" is just making the cut. Do I see a future where Tiger doing "well" is being able to walk to the first tee. It may be time for a reality check.

This can't be good!

Same old Tiger throwing F Bombs. Yesterday it was all the spitting on the golf course, today the F Bombs. He'll have the trifecta when he throws a club.

Come on now ... were you actually watching this?  Cuz I was, and what he said was "How the asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk did no one see this ball?"  Get your facts right before you throw stones. :-P

    • Day 7 - Mirror work, trying to hit that PGA-logo position in my follow through. Mirror really helped, need to film soon.
    • So hit the😝 irons crooked AND play layup golf?? Hahaha.. no thanks. I would rather stay home. 😊
    • First - glad to see these popping up again. Now to the topic at hand - I would rather be option 1.  If I know how far it's going (I mean a yard or two) I can always play to the wider parts of the fairway and/or the green and still do reasonably well.  Now if I could just really hit the "number" that well.
    • Day 2 (10 Mar 25) - Long day of driving to dr appt with son.  Thankfully got in one of my fave putting drills (two ball side by side) - the goal to have both balls come off the putter face equally by having them come off the putter face as close to the same time as possible.  First few rolls - the toe was leading the way as that ball flew off the face.  By the end of the drill both balls were basically equal off the face, rolling to within a couple of inches of each other.  Nice drill of focusing on squaring the face.  BTW - I was using the old Odyssey DF992.
    • Day 161 - 2025-03-10 Got a decent, long session in. Focused mostly on the backswing feels, and moved on toward the end of the four hours (not all hitting balls, I installed a motion sensing light switch in there too, and worked with a student over FaceTime for a bit) on the downswing feel.
