Oh wow, Dustin Johnson at +9 now. Just missing the water by an inch now or things would have gotten even worse, very bad round. Rory at +5. Looks like the wind is getting stronger.

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken...Rory's group is collectively at +19.

Wow, the marquee group of big hitters McIlroy, Johnson, Koepka is struggling. Johnson +9,

I was able to watch a lot of this today. Man, the wind was brutal out there. But it was really fun to watch. I personally really like this course.

Dufner just doesn't look like Dufner. He's too damn slim now and he's got short hair. It's like Rick Vaughn losing the Wild Thing Haircut and glasses.

Yeah...I wonder if Amanda will dump him now as he is not the same guy she married.

@JetFan1983

Awesome videos! I think the cop likes you.  What was he saying when he made the starstuck comment?

Thanks, man.

I asked him how he got the job of following Rory around today, and he said that his boss, the chief or captain or whatever, who was also following Rory, likes him, he plays golf and the chief likes assigning cops who know the game, and that he's not starstruck by any of them.

Yea, he was a nice guy. He got yelled at by the captain a couple times for socializing too much :-D

Question, maybe you guys can educate me in this: at the PGA Tour website I also see projected FedEx Cup standings at the leaderboard of the tournament. However, next to Luiten his name (and also Bjorn and Gallacher for example), that field is completely blank. Does that mean they won't play in the FedEx Cup (or are not allowed), even if they will have a good season? Not PGA member or something like that?

Anyone?

Yeah...I wonder if Amanda will dump him now as he is not the same guy she married.
I'm pretty sure Amanda was the one that convinced him to make the changes to his physical appearance. Was probably comfortable being long haired, pudgy and having a big dip in his lower lip.

Thanks. Besides the WGC's and majors he's playing more PGA-tournaments then ET-tournaments this year, so I expected differently. But guess I could have known, since in his schedule he made room for the ET Final series.

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
