I'm cool with you wearing pink but dude, you can't say that you're wearing lavender. It's purple if you want to retain your man-card.

I wear LAVENDER and loafers into a warehouse full of Teamsters. Do you honestly think I have a problem retaining my "man card"? I'm not so sure being specific negates ones masculinity. But at 6'2 and 225 pounds I've never questioned my own :)

C'mon man, I just said that I wear loafers. Don't you think I know the difference between lavender and lilac?

Buddy of mine yesterday was playing the new Yellow Srixon for about 6 holes.  Then he switched back to a white Titleist. ;-)

I did this today, only because I wore out the Srixon (it was a "Soft Feel").

I have been using these for a while now.  I had played a ProV1 for years beforehand.  Love it and the price is much better.  Also, I don't usually have to worry which one is mine when we hit blind shots at our club.

I don't mind different colors. I usually get white but I'm seriously thinking about getting pink next time. I never see other men play it and it prevents people who sliced into your Fairway from playing your ball.

Never even thought of it as an issue. I personally throw a yellow ball in once in a while to mix it up. If ProV1's had yellow or orange I'd be smacking those around all day.

Sales of ProV1 may go down ... :-)

Seriously, I posted earlier in this thread of a golfer I was paired up with once.   He gave me grief over it after our round was over and I never met the guy before.    I think there are still those who look down on golfers who play color balls.  Good to see none of the TST members mind.

So, I have these three yellow balls I found on the course. Every time I hit into another fairway everyone on the other party assumes it belongs to their partners because who in their right minds would use a yellow ball? :-D

Honestly, who the hell cares if it's yellow? If someone was to approach me over this I'm pretty sure I'd leave with a criminal record. Too many stuck up farts in golf sometimes.

I played a game with a financial professional recently who actually played one (Srixon?). I was taken back a bit to be honest. He was a very solid player and I knew such to even be in our game. Well he was cordial, very good and shot 78. bottom line, it's a color.

Saw Will Wilcox playing a yellow ball last week at Valspar.. not sure what kind of ball it was though.

In my experience it's usually an old guy who hates losing balls and finds them easier to see.  Personally I think they're distracting to hit so I throw them in my junk found-ball bag and give them to my dad or brother.

I personally prefer white balls but don't really care what anyone else plays.  I certainly wouldn't give anyone crap for playing a colored ball.  It does seems like the guys that play yellow balls tend to be older and have trouble seeing the ball.

Haha, I nearly said that if you listened only to the fellas we'd all be wearing camo! Not that there is anything wrong with camo. I'm not ashamed at all to admit that my Easter dress is going to be made from pink Realtree. Does that make me a redneck? But here is a question related to colored balls. What do you really think when you see a grown man dressing like Ricky Fowler?

I don't mind it, bright colors keep it fun. At least he doesn't dress like he's at a funeral like Phil. LOL

I just bought a ton of orange balls to see them better. I suck though so I need to see all of the 'off the fairway' shots I hit. If people think I am not good because I have high visibility balls they are correct haha. I was using yellow but am finding that in the sun I cannot find them. As I said earlier though, If I was really good I would use blue, pink, black, etc just for kicks.

I usually think, "Hey, there's my ball", because I play yellow balls often. I started playing them in my evening rounds after work, because I was loosing balls due to the sun setting and blinding me. Made a huge difference in that regards. Then, I started playing them if it was foggy in the morning, and sometime just because I felt like it. Overall, I do prefer white balls, but there's no denying that yellow are much easier to spot when visibility is an issue.

    • Day 48. Got out at lunch to the range to hit some driver shots. Haven’t had much practice there. Focused on setup suggested by @iacas and found some very playable results. I did try to hit a couple of bunker shots after that with much less success 🙃
    • Got a rare birdie on #18 Par 5.  Drive was good and left me in range of the green.  I was @ 210 from the center and needed @ 180 to clear a hazard area.  Green had bunkers lest, right and on back. had been struggling and most shots were short so I took the 225 club figuring back of green hit well. i did hit it well, @ 229 per SS and dead on—kind at the pin.  Ended up @ 1 foot off the back in short rough and lucky for me it was a back pin placement.  Chipped about 15 feet leaving a 3 feet putt for par which I sunk.
    • Yea, so to clarify for me. I do not feel the clubface much in the swing. I feel the weight of the club. I can feel if I hit the club off the heel or toe. When I try to feel if the clubface is open or closed in the swing, I feel it more with my hands, and less of the clubhead. I would classify majority of my swings as not feeling like the clubface does much of all. It feels like I hold the clubface open. In the finish, it doesn't feel like my left hand faces the ground. It feels more like it faces the sky. I will try to be more aware of this, but it was just the sensation I got when I was making what felt like good swings. For the most part, I was hitting slight draws or slight pushes.  On this golf trip, I had to hit a low 8 iron around a tree to the green. I made an alignment adjustment, and actively try to roll my hands a bit more to get it to sling around the corner. I do have a habit of not adjusting how the clubface comes through impact, and I can still hit the ball straight-ish even moving the ball way back in my stance and trying to swing out more.  Yea, my feels are more hands and arms, less actually feeling the clubface.
