273 yards with a 228 to hole? Did he have a Monster Energy drink before the shot????

It just baffles me, almost looks like he's having fun doing it. How he makes pure contact with club is beyond me

I was just saying the same thing. If i tried that I would be keeled over staring at my ball in the woods.

Tiger is swinging out of his shoes, he almost fell over.

Yeah, so much for the experts who said he needs to ease his swing back some to take pressure off the back. He's swinging it as hard as he ever was. Not sure that's a good thing or a bad thing.

I'm getting sick to my stomach just looking at Tiger's 3rd shot and I'm in my office watching pictures on the Masters website...
Slightly OT, but what's the technique for the couple of hop then stop wedges?
Do a search.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

That's what happens when you can't use your foot wedge... you just hit it however way you can lol

WOW! How helpful, son.

Humble Tiger has been better to tolerate than conceited Tiger....actually pulling for him to do well. It's been a while. Almost feel sorry for what he's gone through in his game.

IMO, a bad thing.   That can't last.

ESPN coverage to the rescue at 3pm. Maybe the streaming demand from masters.com will dip a bit now.

Uh oh, another short chip on the 6th hole:

he better putt that

I'm sure he will.

he would have probably used the putter even in his best years.....good to see a decent pitch on 8th hole with all eyes and TV on him....

    • Day 172: mirror work for a while during SNF. Working on cleaning up the early backswing stuff. Definitely seeing the improvements I’m looking for.
    • @jxdama: Same dumb schtick since joining. Yup. Also, it's a par-73.
    • Day 97 - 2025-01-05 Showed up to something that absolutely floored me, and then was busy right through to 9:00. So, I got 5:00 in at night, at home, before bed. My rib cage hurts from a cough (ha ha, but also, f***), and I think I have a mild ear infection in my right ear. Things are just f***ing great.
    • OMG Jerry Barber shot -20 back in 1960! Let's go back and time and bitch about how easy it is to play golf. My goodness, Calvin Pete shot a -21 in 1986! Wait a second, David Duval shot -26 back in 1999! Hold up, Ernie Els shot a -31 back in 2003!!!!  (all scores at The Sentry, it is a very easy golf course for PGA Tour players).  The concept that golf in the past is this protecting par or what not is just romanticized BS. Golfer's have been tearing apart golf courses for decades. Let's have a sense of perspective to base our opinions, ok?
    • I wont  comment further except to say maybe we  can get a  -40 winner soon on these tests  of golf  skill     Hideki Matsuyama runs away with The Sentry, breaks scoring record to open new PGA Tour season Hideki Matsuyama picked up his 11th PGA career win on Sunday afternoon in Hawaii.
