Yeah, Spieth is definitely en fuego right now. A 59 is definitely out there for the taking if a player is on his game today and can keep it going. We're already seeing 29s out there. Only a par-70 so 11 birdies would do the trick (pending no bogeys)

Looks like the final round of the Crowne Plaza is set to be 100x more exciting then the BMW Championship final round was.

Yep, currently 20 players within 4 shots of the leader.

Wow, did both Poulter & Na put it in the water at 9!?

This just got really interesting

Reminds me of the Honda Classic with Poulter. Put him at or near the top and the shots go wayward.

Some odd looking swings from Poulter off the tee.

Looks like it's a putting contest ... Sneeedeker...

And JSpieth can't make his putts... yet.

One of those tournaments that no one is taking by the throat...

If there is such a thing as a "poor" 65, I think JSpieth shot it... maybe all of his contortions exaggerate his play ... missed several putts you'd expect him to make based on his season... ah, he's human after all.

Poulter still overrated?

If anything, his performance today reinforced the moniker, imo, he choked again, I will have to keep an eye on Twitter to see if anyone (Bishop) throws any jabs his way.

BAn wins BMW PGA.  Except for the 2 oldsters, MAJimenez and TJaidee, everyone else collapsed.  But hey, An looked real good in every department.  He likely has many wins ahead of him both in Eu and USA.

BAn is the child of 2 Olympic gold medal champs, both ping-pong.  No doubt he got the elite treatment in Korea from day one.  A Berkeley grad?  Well, that's something too.

Forever winless on the PGA Tour.

Poults is going off on twitter again

One can see why people love him .... not

My guess is he is getting kicked around for shooting par when everyone else on the leaderboard was shooting under par ... far under par.

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
