Driver swings, no ball. Worked on no tension so the club would fully release. Keep head still, good tempo. Playing 18 tomorrow.

8/9/15: I worked on some 40 yard shots, and hit some full 6 and 7 irons before my round today... I shot 41-46-42=129 +21 for 27 holes today I think at least, I didn't really keep score.... I hit 13/21 Fairways today and not very many damn greens...

Practiced the closed face drill outside with a club focusing on keeping the right arm relaxed longer in the downswing, not a real great practice session today, but I'm going to get it back at lunch for my second session.

Focusing on the pivot.

Driving range was closed, so I played a horrible 10 holes. Stopped when I finally reversed the trend.

The pivot seems to be critical. If I turn my hips too fast bad things happen, too slow and I'm back to the old problem. Lots more work on the range. . .

Did 5 to 10 of my standard mirror work at the gym. Same mapping and drills. Worked a bit at the end on my hip turn from A6 to 9.

Played 18 at the Emerald course at the Wailea Golf Club in Maui. Shot 85. Worked on no tension. When I swung with no tension, my drives were straight with a baby draw. As tension creeped in, a power fade. Too much tension and more severe left to right. All playable, but the draw produced the greatest distance. Overall, the things I have been working on payed off. First round breaking 90. Did some lag putting after the round. Poa Ana greens are different and tougher than So Cal greens. Too many three putts. Turned possible pars into bogies and birdies into pars. Three putts hung on the lip, one revolution more and it falls. Such is golf...great day and wonderful course.

Outside tonight with a chair against my hip ... I felt this weekend I was falling backwards and not moving forward.

30 balls at the range tonight (arrived about 8am). Focused the first ten on no more than A3. I felt my lower body wasn't quiet as much as it should have been during the round yesterday and I feel it doesn't hurt to review important things instead of waiting for them to go wrong (I realize this is not necessarily practicing at the edge of my ability). For the rest, focused on not going too fast and transitioning well. I'm not really adding anything this week because the club championship starts on Friday!

10 minutes of slow swings, focused on my hip turn. Also, normal speed swings to get the feel for the body synchronization.
