Ok, solved your problem.

Go to http://snellgolf.com/products/get-sum/

For $20.99 shipped, you get a better ball.

HECK, if you buy 3 dz, they are only $15/dz -- DEAL OF THE CENTURY.

This line of balls is getting great reviews, developed by one of the designers of the ProV1 and Taylormade balls.

I bought my son a couple of sleeves when I bought the sample pack, tried them on the course, and they are excellent -- gives you distance, not as grabby around the greens as a urethane ball (of course), but still has decent spin - just need to plan for more roll than a urethane.

GETSUM

I'd have to agree with this. Just bought the trial pack with the GET SUM and MY TOUR BALL ($26.99 shipped). Played nine holes with them both, and they are both great.  If you like the GET SUM, 6 dozen is only $75 shipped-$13 per dozen. I haven't decided with one next go to yet, but it will most likely be one of these.

I bought a dozen of the get-sum.    I really like them and the price can't be beat.
Who cares? They will make another one like it for that market. Just better. Snell .... seriously. Others here will vouch for Snell.
I agree, the Snell GET SUM is a fantastic value ball for the average golfer. I just ordered the 6-dozen pack for $75 (shipping included) - a hair over $1 per ball. Nothing comes close.

I'm on the Snell bandwagon as well.

I bought several dozen Snell MTB's. Also bought a dozen Get Sums.

Like others said- they are damn good balls, and a great value.

Very true. Im gonna play the supersoft next few rounds and see how things go. I like it a tad better off the tee and the higher launch characteristics should help me get it airborne and provide more stopping power on the greens. Thanks all

Wait a minute!

You ignore a fellow Texan, another in DFW?

I've been around the golfing block...

You only shop in real stores? Seriously?

I'd rather nail my dick to a burning building, than shop in a real store. But that's just me.

Buying a golf ball is simple.

The cheaper the golf ball the LESS IT SPINS

the more expensive the golf ball the MORE IT SPINS

After that... personal preference. =)

The Snell balls are solid, although I can only admit to playing a sleeve of the tour balls.  I just skip all the hassle of picking the better cheap ball and buy tour balls off the lost ball sites for the same price as the new lesser quality balls.

My contribution to this thread  - I find Nike PD Soft to wear out easily than any Callaway ball.  I played both balls sometime or another but didn't really see anything jump out of the two.

I have played the Chrome Soft from Callaway and I was very impressed with it.  It is much softer than I am used to playing a ProV1x but the distance is fantastic and the feel around the greens is great.....plus its a few bucks cheaper than other tour balls.

After my round today the ball frustration continues! Callaway supersoft stopped dead today but it seems like its exploding off the putter face. Also i didnt realize that with the ss im paying 22 a dozen. Top flite gamer tours are cheaper, and bridgestone e5 is just 7 bucks a box more. Think im gonna bite the bullet and check em out. I want as soft as possible, and high launch. Which one e5 or gamer tour? Lets hear ur thoughts

I'm not big on buying stuff online either, but I've been keeping an eye on the Snell balls for about a month now, and I haven't seen anything negative either regarding the balls or the company. I bit the bullet and ordered the sample pack to try... I'm hoping I like them, the tour ball has a 6 dozen deal which works out to $26 a dozen. Can't beat that. For anyone interested in other non-brand name balls... A friend of mine swears by Vice balls (he's a single digit if it matters to anyone). It's a German company, and he orders them online in bulk and gets big discounts. Just throwing it out there, although I'll stick to the US companies (Snell) when the value is comparable.

Im not buying six dozen of anything unless i become totally obessesed with it. I lose a few a round and six dozen would last me all year nearly. Lol.
