Short game grip

I use a reverse overlap for putting and this year I have started to use it for all pitching and chipping. Seems to help remind me to be more artful with these touchy-feely shots. Anyone else use a different grip for pitching than they do on full swings?

Iv'e certainly tried but over the years I have realized that it's best to treat most chips of about 15 yards the same as a 150 yard shot. I add some hinge shift a bit and actually rotate through to a semi finish. I have some specialty chips like a hyrbid I may use my putt grip or if the ball is in the super rough I choke the club to death and chop down on it very hard to pop it out. If it's working for you great,but to me it seems to locked and not enough touch although I can see it's advantages for precision because sometimes I add to much pop in my chips and blast em by.

Yeah, that happens automatically when I switch to the reverse overlap. It's basically my putting grip which is obviously much more neutral than my full swing grip which is on the strong side. Just seems to make distance control more intuitive.

I use it for toe down chips but everything else is just a little weaker than usual grip. Helps me not pull it.

I putt, and chip with the same grip, and stroke. I use the same grip for my pitches back to my driver. I might open the clubface up a little on some pitch shots. The farther I want to hit the ball the farther back I take my backswing, while adding more body turn. It's my own KISS way of hitting the ball.

That grip works well if you hover the putter a couple millimeters off the ground

most of the shots around the green I have all ten fingers on the grip as I like both index fingers on the grip.

However I do use reverse overlap for the runner. Interlock for lobber. I dont like regular overlap around the greens.

depending on the type of shot I sometime will use ten finger and release my pressure on certain fingers.

Like on my running chip I set up with TFG then release my left forefinger when I forward press.
