Played 36 today. :)

Morning Sandy Burr - 99, 47/52
Afternoon Stow Acres South - 102, 50/52

Finally found my driver on the back 9 of the afternoon round. As poorly as I struck the ball, I actually felt like I made some progress.

had the severe pulls today and once again i felt like i wasnt gonna break a hundred...
shot another 90... if i keep this up my hcp is gonna start ballooning...
funny thing is i know exactly what i was doing wrong but just brainfarted all day...
alignment was all off... releasing way too early... cupping... hitting off my back foot... etc etc... at least the ones i hit crisply went far
RUSS's avg drive - 230yrds and climbing

shot an 87. which is decent enough for me i guess. thats about my average.. but it was really frustrating

i started off par, bogie, par, birdie, par

even through 5 holes!! finished the front 9 only +3 but then i completely blew up on the back 9. started double double, bogey, double. hahaha it was over after that :)

Shot 40-36 today, best round of my life. One despised double bogey and a couple other weak holes on the front, but even on the back including one wedge 3rd on a par 5 that almost spun back into the hole but left me a tap in birdie. But more than anything I putted well, lots of long par puts dropped and lags left simple finishes.

Feels good to know that I'm improving.

shot an 86 at wildhawk today. Sacramento CA

I played 34 holes today (couldn't finish second round due to time).

Course rating is 76. Slope Rating is 150. It's a beast .

I shot 39,38 = 77
then
40, and +4 with 2 to play (take an xPar and an xBogie), so probably would've shot 81.

on the executive

Just wanted to get out there and shake off monday's round and get some good iron shots in, struck the ball a lot better today.

44+49=93 on a par 71. I had a two hole stretch of quad and triple bogey that shot my back 9. I didn't drain one long putt but I was close on 8 or 9 of them. Another day, some will fall!

I was having the round of my life (ok, so I've only played 3 other times) when rain and lightning started.

I shot a 44 on the front nine at Laytonsville in MD this past Saturday. I was on pace to break 100 for the first time when we had to call it quits.

My previous best was a 112 three weeks prior with no pars so naturally I was thrilled when I started out par, par, bogey, par. I had as many pars in the first 4 holes as I had in my 1st three rounds

48 + 48 = 96. This is right in my average scoring range but this course I had never played and it is considerably harder than what I have mostly been playing this season. 6618 yds. 132 Slope, 71.5 rating. So, I felt pretty great about today's round! :)

87 on monday. 94 tuesday. 79 yesterday. Played decent on monday. I just blew up on a couple of holes (5 doubles). Played terribly on tuesday. I had 10 doubles (see the trend?). Shot my career best with a 79 finally. I hit my driver alright, irons well, wedge well on partial shots, and putted well (for me anyway) with only (2) 3-putts. Par 5s are really easy if I'm in the fairway. Par 4s are easy if I'm in play and have any kind of shot to the green. And par 3s...I'm working on it.
Two good things for my game: I figured out my tempo with putting and fixed some driver issues (sort of).

43+43 for me today. 86.
I was able to hit 7 total fairways which is a high number for me lately. I had 6 GIR's but my putting was horendous today, no birdies =[. total of 36 putts. Thats just scary.
Was a pretty bad round I must say.

    • As a supporter of the European team even though I chose to live in the US, this is kind of good news. I'm pretty close to Bethpage, but won't be going at these prices. Neither will the crazy drunk NY sports fans who would have made this a very difficult place to play as a Euro. The tickets will go to the city types who are entertaining clients and don't care about the money. Many of them are going to sit there and watch, not get all raucous. I am not dumb enough to believe that this is going to be like a Sunday afternoon stroll in the park for the Euros, but I think it will be significantly more subdued as a result of the prices. Even at $250 I would probably have been watching on the TV anyway so no real skin in the game.
    • First, it is on free TV. NBC is free to anyone with an antenna, and is on almost any TV in the U.S. with a minimal amount of effort. Charging "a bargain price" would be incredibly dumb. They charged $750 and the event sold out almost immediately. You could better argue they should have charged MORE, not less. What happens if you charge less: ticket scalpers buy up even more of the tickets because they see value: if tickets were $250, they'd clearly have sold for $1k or more on the secondary market. That's tremendous value. Fans would end up paying the same or more, or just not being able to go. Sure, a few who happened to be online at the precise moment on a fast connection and didn't fumble with their credit cards might have gotten tickets for $250, but the secondary market and ticket brokers would have scooped up the vast majority with automated processes and bots and scripts, then re-sold them later on. This way, fans get to purchase the tickets, and the PGA is earning that revenue, not the secondary ticket brokers. Econ 101. Supply and Demand. Nope.
    • Tiger Woods on Ryder Cup pay: 'I hope they would get $5 million each and donate it all to charity' Edit - the link has no title, but basically Tiger wants $5 million for each US player to “donate to charity”   They could put the Ryder Cup on free to air tv, and charge the fans a bargain price to get in.  If you have to  give the players $60 million, that’s why the tickets are $750.
