98 at my home course ( http://www.thewaterfordgolfclub.com/ ) :\. I've been in a bit of a putting slump as of late, though that certainly doesn't account for a number of other terrible shots. I can't wait to get back down to the 80's!

I went out yesterday, hit 5 fairways, 7 greens, 25 putts, and shot a 3 over 74. ha. Had 9 of 15 up/downs.

So my shortgame was EN FUEGO! 11 putts on the front nine (2 fairways, 2 greens), 7/10 up/downs and shot 3 over 38.
Then on the backnine shot even par 36 with 3 fairways, 5 greens and 14 putts. Had 2 / 5 up/downs.

Had 4 birdies and 7 bogeys. ugh.

Really wish I could take that fantastic range play I am capable of and translate it onto the real course.

Yesterday I shot a 3 over 75 on a local course. Really should have been a 73 pr 74 if I hadn't self destructed on the par three 15th. 18 is a par 5 and I got home in two and barely missed the 12 foot eagle putt for a 74. Very solid round for me though!

Golfed 27 holes today at the beautiful Wandering Springs, Greenleaf Wisconsin. I was on my game today ... 41, 46, 42. For an old hacker like me it felt very good.

56 (par 37) which was horrible, but it included a 9 and an 8. So it could have been way better

46/46/51; the first 9/9 were walking. Apparently that does better for my game or something...

Can't wait to get more 18 hole scores in to really drop my handicap...

80 at Purgatory GC in Noblesville, IN. A tough track, and we played it from about 6,700 yards or so. Should have been a 79, I was on the back fringe of 18 (a par 5) in two after smoking a drive over the corner and flushing a 7 iron. Three jacked for par and lost by one.

    • Still not happy with Bryson's lies. For example, just yesterday: The hat was because of Payne. Years ago he was on record as saying it's because of Ben Hogan. The wall at SMU for Payne Stewart that he says made him decide to go there… didn't exist until after he'd begun taking classes at SMU. Both lies feel awfully "convenient" because he won at Pinehurst.
    • Launch angle is a mix of dynamic loft and angle of attack. Dynamic loft including the loft of the driver and how it is influence at impact by your swing and by the golf shaft.  Odds are you have a negative attack angle. Yes, hitting it low on the club face can decrease launch angle to. Unless you can get the full set of stats, hard to tell what is going on.  Depends on the width of your stance. Rory has a super wide stance, so his all position is inside his lead heel, but it is forward in his stance.
    • Day 592, June 17, 2024 Played 18 holes pausing near the top of the backswing (may not have actually looked like a pause if you were watching me). Hit a 6I about 195 (flew the entire green) and a few other shots long, but… overall, pretty happy. Occasionally was lazy with the arms.
    • You are absolutely right he never mentions LIV in his videos. The only reason he has his LIV team's logo on hat and shirt is a contractual obligation. And there is nothing phony about his fan interaction - one only has to go back and look how he interacted with fans at the President's cup and Ryder Cup. I hope the President's cup captain has the "presence of mind" to select Bryson as a Captains pick.
    • Sounds to me like you’re still swinging in and you’ve learned to close the face a little bit more than you used to.
