shot a disappointing 111 after putting some nice rounds together, but i got a chance to go back around before dark and managed to play the first six holes over again and shot 5 over.

a bright end to a crappy day.

these days are always good for seeing what's working and what needs some more range time. drives got a lot better, short game was more up than down, putting was meh.

Weird Jekyll and Hyde round today where I almost couldn't miss a putt if I tried the entire round but seemed to find a way to mess up my approach shots and/or chip shots on about every third hole.

Ended up with 6 birdies and 5 bogeys.

49/51 for a cool 100. Worst round in a long time. Birdied number 1 and went straight downhill from there including snapping my 9 iron on a tree on number 2. My iron play was so bad I am pretty sure I could've swung left handed with my irons backwards and would have ended with similar results.

6954 yds. 73.8/136. 85. 2 doubles and a birdie. Big course for me. Pushed too hard and never got comfortable.

110 today with a birdie and 111 yesterday at a different course.

i think it's more frustrating to start off driving well and then lose it halfway through the round. too much waiting around really kills my game because i'm not good enough to stay loose. i have trouble getting down to the ball after an extended wait and wasted a lot of shots today.

27 holes this weekend

first 18 - 76 strokes and 3 wet golf balls for a 79.  Fun round.  Really hitting approach shots.  8 birdie opportunities (putts less than 15 feet) - 0 birdies.  Lots of pars...."boring golf"  FUN.

two holes had bad drives leaving a long 2nd shot - both 5w's that ended up on the green as opportunities.  Last hole really fun, 2 sand shots and still par 4.  Fairway sand I hit the right yardage but pushed right to a pot bunker.  That sandy took a 60 degree and hit a nice sand flop to 2 feet - best shot of the day - even with all the great approach shots.

9 today - 41, clean.  0 of 2 opportunities.  One nice three wood on a short par 4 to just 12 feet short of the green.

27 holes with 10 legit birdie opportunities - even with none of them converted, I'm getting opportunities - time to practice my putts.  did not really give myself any real good chances for eagle this weekend.  Couldn't secure the clean 2nd shot on the par 5's

42/46 for disappointing 88 at basically my home course. I probably have the worst iron game of anybody who can shoot in the 80s consistently. The only way it can get worse is if I just completely miss the ball every time or maybe if if the club slipped out of my hand mind downswing and the handle hit the ball but I think it would still have a chance to match about 50 percent of my actually iron hits. :-(

Only played 9 but finally after a couple months of working on my swing I started hitting the greens again on all the par 3s.

Blow out on the first whole, triple. the rest went like this.

Had my new Ping putter that that I was able to spend about an hour with the night before. But made putts I had not been able to make with my SC.

Shot a 92 today which is solid for me, ever since I took the foot wedge out of my bag I've been shooting around 95-98 on average. Started off on fire (for me), at my home course bogeyed #1 but then nailed a 300-yard drive exactly where I wanted it, over the trees on a slight dog right par 4 to end up right in the middle of the fairway. Parred #2 (hardest hole on the course) and #3, then the bogeys started to rain down. From there, I either bogeyed or doubled every hole until 18, which I managed another par. Decent for me, but after the first 3 holes it was a little disappointing. I usually have a draw with my irons so I was usually aiming right side of the fairway or right side of the green, and I was hitting them all pretty straight with a few slight pushes to miss about 5 yards right of the green, which got old really quick but I never adjusted because I always assumed the draw was right around the corner.

Hello my first ever round yesterday on my local 9 hole which I did twice to make 18 holes. Got a par on the first 9 and another on the second 9 thought i had won the open lol ended up with a 114 which I am we'll pleased with as it is my first ever go at it. Absolutely loved every moment slice hook topped shot and run on wish I had done this years ago.

Played on my own. Played 11 holes (marked 9, and then over to 17 and 18 but didn't score them).

Course was quiet and I could have went round all 18, but decided just to play 9.

I scored very low, but didn't feel like I connected great at all with the ball much today, yet somehow managed to scramble away for pars, and the odd birdie.

It's a very strange game at times.

Par 34 and shot 38.

Getting closer to my first hole in one. A par 3 - 165 yards, hit a 6 iron spot on, no wind and dropped just at the start of the green where I had planned before rolling to about 3 inches from the green - and managed to secure the birdie.

Hopefully get out tomorrow and played a links course which depending on the wind near the sea can be mighty tough on the first 7 holes, right into it! ;()

1 Triple, 2 doubles, 2 birdies, 4 pars

Very up and down day. Started off slow, caught fire, then blew up on the last hole. First double was because the golf course maintenaince decided to put 6 inches of cheap sand in the bunkers. So there is no way, no matter how much bounce you use to get through that shit. If you try to pick it clean, you might end up skulling it. So i ended up missing a 5 foot putt for bogey. The triple was because i hit a terrible iron into a pond. Then i hit a terrible wedge shot from the drop zone, to hit a terrible chip, and miss the double bogey putt. The last double was because i thought the ball would curve more left off a side hill lie. Forgot Erik's study done on lie angle change, i was hitting a 5 iron, it wouldn't curve that much. I ended up under a bush, had to punch out, chip on, and i missed a 6 footer for bogey.

Good thing is, at least my putting is coming around, and i know i can make birdies now. Use to be i pray for a putt to fall for a birdie. Now i know i am good for a couple a round, real good confidence boost in matches.
