Odd thing was, it was clearing my cookies and cache (for a different reason) that started the aberrant behavior. It took me clearing it three more times, but after the third time it worked. Very odd.

For what it's worth, I had one of @nevets88 twitter embeds show up half rendered (Spieth making a goof on the driving range). I didn't refresh, but I went to the link directly shown by the "Share" icon. That worked fine, and I was able to play the video full size. Hasn't happened before or since.

That's just a javascript quirk you can't really get rid of. If the page loads too much before the Tweet loads, sometimes they don't expand. Usually if you copy and paste the post # to go to that post directly, or reload and get that post in the viewport (within the browser window), it works fine.

Thanks.  I've had that problem on some videos and my previous approach was to reload the page once or twice, giving up if it didn't render correctly after a few.

Apologies if this is a duplicate. 

I get strange behavior in the top-right of the site when navigating the site.  Currently, it says I'm logged in

If I go to the Tour Talk forum, It says I'm not logged in.  I can go up hit Sign In and when I come back to Tour Talk, it shows I'm logged in.

I have the "remember me" checkbox selected and if I open a new tab and browse to thesandtrap.com it shows me not logged in.  If I hit the banner, boom, I'm logged in.

I am using Chrome on Windows 7.

Empty your cache and delete your cookies that relate to thesandtrap.com, then sign in again. Should be fine.

This is going to seem ridiculously small, but just notice something and figured they could add it to a minor fix list someday:

when you get a notification while you're on the site, there's a black notification box at the bottom of the screen that mentions the person and the title of the thread they commented in. If the title of the thread has an apostrophe, that converts to some HTML character code.  Recently I got notified of a change to the thread "I can reach in one, two,... but can't score well" (or whatever it's title is), but it showed up as "I can reach in one, two,... but can%27t score well" (or something close to that).

No big deal.

Also, while I'm thinking of it, when I search "bug" in the search bar, I don't get any search results. When I search "bugs" I get this thread as the 3rd one listed. The first two seem to have the word "bugs" in just one of the posts, so I'm not sure why they'd be ranked before a result that has "bugs" in its title. Is there a way to elevate search results that have a word in its title? Or is that not appropriate?

It's likely just an encoding issue. I'll file a bug with IPS.

Three-letter searches aren't possible. You can't search for "par" but you can search for "eagle" for example.

I've been seeing issues with Instagram posts lately with most of the post being cut off. Steve posted this. I'm on my work laptop, which is Windows 7. I don't recall seeing the issue on my Mac at home.

That happens if you scroll to it. They don't load in "full space" when they're off-screen. If you reload (especially if that post is visible on screen) when it's on screen it'll work.

It's kind of annoying, but currently an issue with how the scripts work.

This is a weird one that's happened today:

Over the past 4 hours, I've received about 25 notifications on that same thread...it literally just pops up with a new notification every 15 minutes or so, even though there is no new content.

Same happened to me. the notification of Iacas and Jim Bloodworth keeps appearing.

Tip: If you want a link to the last page of a thread that adds pages quickly that always works, no matter how many pages get added, just put:

?page=9999

at the end of the url.

      Went to a PING fitting day today. Going to be ordering a G430 Max 3w with a 75g x-stiff shaft at 5w length and a 3h. I forget what my fitter did with the shaft on that but she told me she’s going to email the club the specs of everything. The 3w combination we found pretty quickly. As for the hybrid, we tried a bunch of different head and shaft combinations for that distance with mixed results. Then she handed me the 3h and I took three swings with it and knew it was the one.

      That’s quite a generalization. It’s clear that you don’t like water but there are plenty of us that drink it just fine. My daily intake is usually about 20oz of black coffee, 16oz of soda, 8oz of milk mixed into a protein shake, and anywhere between 30-60oz of water. It doesn’t even need to be cold and I kind of prefer it closer to room temperature than cold. I quite like the taste of tap water, with sole exception being the tap water at Magic Kingdom (it’s terrible). I can’t stand when people bring me tap water with a lemon wedge in it. I didn’t ask for lemon in my water.

      This is the part I don’t get. He’s not even kind of sandbagging, he’s blatantly doing it and submitting scores that are verified to be incorrect. How he’s not banned from competition is beyond me.

      He's right in what he's saying.I also have done this experiment with a golf shaft swinging with one arm at a time.one arm at a time is for me very fast but both hands together are very slow ..I got my 17 year old son to do this experiment and he swung very fast with either hand and he swung very fast with both hands together..My conclusion up to now is ; I'm not using my wrists properly but I not a 100 percent sure just yet..I will keep trying to fathom this out .I'm a 12 handicap and my son is 3.9 at Westlancs..
