Christine is an excellent sports writer for USA TODAY.  Today on page 1 of the Sports section. She was picked to do the birthday column since today is Tiger's 40th birthday.

First, I want to wish Tiger a Happy Birthday! Christine discusses Tiger's 7 surgeries and his present physical condition, based on his own words. She then sums it up by writing that he is 40 going on 70! She gives a retrospective on his brilliant career since it is over!

If Christine is right, then Tiger finishes 2nd to Jack in total professional Majors won (18 vs 14). He is 2nd to Jack in Masters won (6 vs 4). In the US Open, Tiger is 2nd again with 3 compared to the 4 won by Jack, Willie Anderson, Bobby Jones and Ben Hogan. In the Open Championship, Jack and Tiger are down the list with 3 apiece. Vardon won 6, and James Braid, J H Taylor, and Peter Thompson had 5 piece. In the PGA, Tiger's 4 is second to the 5 won by Jack and The Haig.

In total PGA wins, Tiger's 79 is second to the Slammer's 84. Will Tiger continue to play? He says "Yes, IF his body let's him. And if it does NOT let him, then he has a contingency plan. "If I am not able to compete at the highest level in golf, I will find other things where I can compete at ". I guess we need to sing Bob Hope's theme song to him. "Thanks for the memories". It WAS a great ride!

How about hitting this with some of your super-duper editing skills? This is basically unreadable in its current form.

Who the hell starts a list with 2, ffs?

I only made it 20% in before calling it quits. If you're an editor, you clearly don't give a shit about this readership. If it's not worth your time to write it well, it's certainly not worth my time to read it.

I started it with a "1". I do not know what happened to it. I posted from my cell phone and did constant editing. I will edit it again, and NOT use the cell phone again!

I just tried to edit the original post and the system will not allow it.. It did let me edit the reply post. Is there a time limit?

Yes, the window to edit a post has a time limit.

I am sorry this happened, and I will post only from a computer in the future. My laptop is being repaired, and I have been using the ones at the NH library, but they are closed on Wednesdays.

On his phone he had picts with Woods and himself at some commercial that was being made. I believe he said the commercial was  made last July.

He basically said the same thing, that Woods moved around like an old man. That when he was not needed on camera, that he would be off, resting by himself, and  that his people would be working with the commercial people on what they wanted Woods to do, or say.

It's interesting that a reporter would also come up with the same "old man" scenario......40 going on 70.

I feel sorry for Tiger. He wants to do things with Sam and Charlie and is unable to do so.

The time limit applies regardless to the machine. IOW, even from a computer, you still have a limited window to edit posts.

It's really not that hard to post clearly from your phone, you know.  Sure, the window is smaller but the keys are all there, and you can also use punctuation.  It even has a return key.

Not to mention, a condensed version of the toolbar that shows up on the full desktop site, which even contains the list function.  Watch:

Reasons that make Pez's posts hard to read:

  1. He doesn't use the return key.
  2. He doesn't think it's possible to post legibly from a phone.
  3. And that's pretty much it.

If you just took a little care to write more clearly - which shouldn't be too hard since you claim to be a writer - then I think you'll find that you get a lot more and better responses to your threads.

That was probably an interesting post, but I will be damned if I will read it until you have complied with the basic formatting standards that you have been repeatedly asked to follow.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

Everyone does that in California, from what I've heard.  At least he wasn't putting on his make-up with the other hand at the time, or it could have taken 3 minutes.

Just to add to this, no one is expecting perfect posts with flawless grammar and impeccable spelling. @saevel25 is a long time member and great contributor and he can't spell worth shit. It's all good, it is, after all, a golf forum.

But you have consistently posted poorly formatted posts that speak more to laziness and disregard for others, and even that would likely be overlooked if you weren't so quick to tell us all about your "editor" status and the importance of using clear and proper language.

Actually, no I have not heard that one.  But worry not, my friend, I have nothing but patience.  In the immortal words of Rob Schneider ...

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
