Tension kills consistency. That's why it's a bit easier to 'back door' a win than build / stretch a lead from the front...unless maybe it's a really big lead - still means you have to play phenomenal golf to get there.

But I didn't follow golf then so it didn't leave me with the same feeling.

Oh gimme a break. It got exciting after a long snoozefest and the winner was the player who was the best on Sunday with no mistakes. Well deserved. That is not bad for golf.

I didn't want to see Spieth run away with it but relative no name winners are not good for the game at this point IMO. Yes, yes, to die hard golf fans he's not a no name, but to 99% of folks he is.

@atb5079 If you realized how easy it is to make a big number at Augusta it shouldn't have been perceived as a snooze fest.

 

Given the long odds on repeating, Jordan did a nice job overall at a title defense.

Does probably make more people like Spieth when he is able to come back next time and get it done after a meltdown like this.  Everybody (most people) like a comeback story

He may be a no name today, but this could also be the first step to him joining the big 4 (or 5, or whatever it is).  At the same time, even if he disappears after this win, there's a great story about what Jordan makes of this disaster.

      It’s winter here and time hitting at my indoor place.  This year I bought and sold a few sets so I didn’t settle in on anything. For this coming season, starting now I have a choice to make.  What set would you guys use? 1.  Nike Vapor Pro irons - They are like new, hit them some last year before I had to demo other sets.  I love them, original grips, barely used so I’m almost not wanting to use them to keep their value up.  Standard LLL and standard grips. 2. Taylormade P7TW irons - Still in the box.  Got them over a year ago but had too much to hit, never used them.  Have used a set in the past and loved them.  Ended up with my own set custom fit to me -1/4”, 1 degree flat midsize grips.  These are probably not as valuable because they are still available and they are fit to me. I hate to put the Nikes away but it makes more sense to save them than the TW’s…. I dunno….
