I want to be really clear about something... even though I think he's pretentious for saying "I am an artist", I won't be happy/satisfied/vindicated/etc. if he doesn't play well.  I won't be happy if he beats golfers I like better but  I won't ever gloat (or even want to gloat) if the he plays badly.

He's doing something right given the media attention he's getting. With athletes my interest is solely about watching them perform I don't care if they are likeable or whatever. I have a couple hats like that. Bought them 2 for one after the 2013 US Open when the PGA shop was blowing them out. Have only worn each once. Not very comfortable and they don't work well for sunglasses storage like a ball cap. Really not a good look for me though makes me look old. He's definitely a good fit for Cobra.
