I found this. If you find other videos of PGA Tour players, or maybe yourself if you do course Vlogs, hitting a god awful shot. Then go ahead and post it. We all know Golf is Hard! PGA Tour players are still human :-D

PGA players are human. Mickelson is one of the biggest slicers on the tour, but the man can recover from about anything. Spieth chunked it into the water at the Masters. Everyone hits bad shots.

They just played a slomo of Phil's swing changes between 2015 and 2016 on the CBS Wells Fargo coverage. I didn't realize how steep his downswing was.  It was much steeper and higher than the backswing line.  Looks like he did a lot to shallow it out during the past year though.

When you watch golf on television, they are basically only showing the guys near the top of the leader-board. For players to get to that position, they have to be "on their game" - striking it well and holing clutch putts and making minimal mistakes. What you don't see on TV are the guys that are struggling to break 80 and missing greens with wedges, etc. unless it's a big name like Tiger. These kinds of "failed shots" probably happen a lot more on Tour than you would imagine! I can remember walking alongside a group that consisted of John Daly and David Duval at the Barracuda Championship several years ago and I saw more than my fair share of ugly shots coming from those two!

That greenside shanked wedge by McIlroy - wow - I don't feel so bad when I do those now.

While pros do have bad shots here and there, the percentage of those bad shots are much lower than mine - much, much lower.  Also, they can recover a lot better than I can.

But it is good to see that video just to know that this game is hard even for the pros.

My wife says that Phil's pre-shot routine is his drive.  :content:

You can probably count on Poulter hitting a shank. Which is always enjoyable :-D

I enjoy seeing some horrible shots being hit. I am tired of the media driven, "god-like" ability they try to project. ;-)

It's not a video, but this was the result of attempting a 5I on a very soggy fairway.  If you stood over the ball as if you just swung the club, the ball is completely buried.

Had a lot of those during summer here in Tampa.

Ha!  Half of those shots in compilation would have been in my highlight reel. "Look honey.  I'm getting better!!"
