@GolferPGA, I'm a moderator here, and now that the thread has gotten a bit of traction, it's only appropriate to demonstrate that you are indeed @KyleReifersPGA. Reddit has a procedure that I understand encourages the person doing an AMA to post something that only they could post as a means of proving they are who they say they are. Some suggestions:

1. Retweet something from @the_sand_trap on Twitter. Or tweet a picture of yourself from Vegas or something… be creative.

2. Send a PM @iacas or another moderator something that demonstrates you are who you are.

3. Post a photo of a scorecard with "Happy Halloween 2016, TST" from Shriners.

Or something else. Your call. Thanks a lot. At this point, readers should be wary, and any professional golfer posting here would surely understand that - with no hard feelings.

I switched Drivers a couple times last year. Right now I am on the M1 from Taylormade. Love it. Soft, muted sound. I normally play around with Taylormade Ghost Putters. I hit the ball 295 on average.

Treat the practice rounds the same jsgolfer. I get a game plan for where to miss and my "green light" opportunities. But the game plan is adjustable depending on the situation.

So I'll state up front that I agree with Erik's point about long game giving you more potential value to climb the ranks. What's your perspective on what part (tee, approach, short, putting) of your game (at your current level) would be the easiest to improve in enough to: 1. make more cuts  2. crack the top 50  3. snag a win? Which part  of your game was toughest to improve from college days until you were finally able to make the tour?

Bit premature to jump to that conclusion.  Seemed pretty legit and probably has better stuff to do than this.  I think @RandallT's request was reasonable but for any number of reasons, I can see why he wouldn't care to comply.  I enjoyed his insights while they lasted.

      I haven't run the ShotScope yet, but I played 18 today.  I hit a great drive on 6 and then, holes 7-17 (excluding par-3s) I hit some very uninspired drives.  Then, after hitting on 17, I realized I'm over-swinging.  So at 18, I took a practice swing with the drill I've been doing during practice shots at home the past few weeks.  Then I decided, one more practice swing, but you know, with the ball right there. So I did.  I didn't even hit it at full speed.  It resulted in a nice high draw and settled onto the fairway.  To put it simply:  if the rules allowed me to place the ball anywhere in my reasonable shot zone as that tee shot, the spot I would have chosen is where it ended up.  I went on to hit two more good shots (it's a par-5) and left myself with a 7' birdie putt.  While I missed it, that drive is going to stay in my head for a very long time.
