I've got i  my bag 1 Taylor Made 16# Tour Cleek that i bought new in about 1986. It's been reshafted at least twice. I used to call it" My Magic Wand" because it was so good at getting me out of trouble. it's still a very usable, versatile club.

I just managed to snag a set of the legendary and long-coveted 1958-59 Wilson Staff Dyna-Powered irons, with original leather grips and shaft bands.  It seems that COVID is prompting some of the hoarders to let go.  First, I admire the set's stunning quality.  These would cost $2,500 today.  After two rounds with them in the bag (4-9 irons), I shot my best 9-hole score in 8-10 years -- a one-under 35.  Deadly on the Par 3s.  Pretty good score for a older guy.  I will never bag another set of irons -- so intuitive.  (Except in bad winter conditions will go back to my Ping s59s.)  I like the 1958-59 blades most likely because I grew up playing a set of 1969-70 W/S Bullet Backs, another fine model year for blades.  Distance is not great, even accounting for the number-creep of the last 30 years, but I don't need distance as my fairway woods My favorite wedge at the moment is a 1956 Wilson Triple-Duty wedge.  Very heavy club, surely a swing weight of E-something.  In my irons, I want accuracy both in terms of distance and direction.  Having said that, my woods are Ping G30, TM Aeroburner Mini-Driver, TM R580 3W, and TM 19* Raylor; two of those four are 20 years old or older.  All are great woods, reliable and long.
