Jim,

Does the GG app calculate the carry distance?

I've always had pretty straight 10 yard differences between clubs and have wondered why all the pros, even the ones that are short hitters and only hit it a bit farther than I do, have such bigger gaps at the top of the bag.  I average in the 260s carry with my driver in, so pretty much right in between red and black, but my long clubs, say hybrid-5i, are only a bit longer than the red numbers.  Then my shorter clubs, 7i-PW, are pretty much exactly right in the black column.  Then the SW and LW numbers are too high, with the red number for LW too high even in the red column.

Not sure why I have such a flatter distance vs club curve than everyone else...

Negative. You just tag wherever the ball ends up and that's your distance.

Ah, so you're probably like me, in-between the Purple and the Red.  The numbers in the table are for carry distance.

Yes, trending toward Purple as the birthdays and back pain keep adding up. ;-)

I'm somewhere between orange and white. My driver is in the orange column, but everything else is in the white. I've been struggling with my distance off the tee due to degenerative disks #6 and #7. I'm going to have a minimally invasive procedure soon. Hopefully, when I recover (and if it works) I'll be back to averaging 215 to 220 on my drives.

Almost said between red and black until I realized I was thinking total distance. I carried my driver 230-250 last time I was out and my 8 iron about 135. I'd say purple is close to slightly short for me. This will be a nice little chart for me to set goals with when I start adding distance.

My driver carry averages about 235. The rest of the clubs line up with the interpolation of the last two columns, except for the sand and lob wedges, which I hit shorter. I thing I play those maybe up towards my left foot more than most.
