Day 8. Played a practice 9 with my wife. The course was not crowded so we took our time and worked on short game shots on a few holes.

Day 177, April 26, 2023

Did some work in the hotel room trying to keep the left wrist extended in the backswing. Makes it easier to put the club behind you.

Erik J. Barzeski —  I knock a ball. It goes in a gopher hole. 🏌🏼‍♂️

Day 37:

Hit some balls with a 5-iron in the dark. Wasn't really concerned with contact, focus was more on backswing practice.

Day 61 (27 Apr 23) Played the back 9 at Minnesott this afternoon with a good friend - was very impromptu so there was no real warm up at the range.  Saw that in the first few holes as was very sporadic.  We both agreed the need to warm up is key to starting a solid round.  Did hit some solid drives and the approach game was better (4 of 9 GIR).

Played 18 holes. Recorded a video. Sent a bitchy text (not really) to @mvmac. Played the last six holes doing what I need to feel in an EXTREME way.

Day 36: Stack session 18 and last of Foundation series. Matched my high swing speed and max potential yardage of 312. Was trying very hard to set a new high but couldn’t quite make it. Eager to practice tomorrow and see if I can reach 111 swing speed with my driver.

    • Down a couple of more lbs. to 256 this morning. If only golf progressed like this lol.
    • You probably mis-hit driver more often, too. You can hover a driver… less than two feet from the ball.
    • Day 484, February 26, 2024 90 minutes with @DrizZzY this morning. Getting near the end of the slow downswing work. Going to start adding speed to it in March.

    • I was going to mention this. His youtube videos he's always talking about his putt distances. He's got all the way up to 100+ feet calibrated. But then he does all sorts of calculations on the fly, so he says things like "it's 41 feet, but it's 2% uphill, so that's playing 74 feet. 74 feet is hands to right hip pocket" and off he goes. I'm making up the 74 feet and the right hip pocket bits - I don't know exactly how those pan out and the article doesn't seem to expand on that.  I'm also in a similar position to OP - I want to work on my distance control, but it's hard to get to a spot where I can hit putts longer than about 10 feet at the moment (winter). I'm thinking about getting an Exputt, but I don't really see how that's going to help all that much if I don't subsequently start pacing off my putts and I'm not sure I want to do that. It seems over the top. I guess it would help me to learn to control speed and then that would hopefully translate to on the course, but it's expensive to test that.
