Day Fitty: 2/12/2022

Did mirror work today. Working on a couple of "new" things that I got from my lesson yesterday.

One is a footwork piece that will ideally help me getting into the front thigh as well as help prevent the goofy thing I like to do at the top of my backswing.

The other is something of an older (call it a left over) bit that I've worked on before to help me with my width.

I'm also doing these with the club and I'll be putting up a pool noodle as soon as I make a pool noodle holding device. Just to keep swing path under control.

It's all good and all fun.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 29:

Played 18 this morning, at an away course. My home course was having a Super Bowl shotgun start tournament that I wanted nothing to do with. Finished the front 9 in just over an hour, and then caught up to some back-niners and things slowed down, but still finished in 3:40. Played really well, and I am encouraged about how the transition piece from my last lesson is coming along. Working with Mevo+ and seeing ball flight has really helped me learn to trust the move to deliver the club to the ball.

Hit some balls when I first arrived in the morning to make sure the FlightScope was tracking and aligned and so on. Did a little work at home later in the evening.

Day 486: Worked a bit on backswing turn. I’m lifting my heel to help the turn when I should be letting the hip turn lift the left heel. Too cold to hit today.

Day 51: 2/14/2014

Started out with a good putting session working on bead work. As usual I did Day 15 of the 30 day Covid-19 challenge. It's one of my favorites and I can do it in my office between meetings.

Later I did some mirror work. I worked on my new priority piece and a bit of my old priority piece as well. It started to feel pretty natural so I took it out to the garage and hit some balls. I had good results. I didn't film it, though. I will probably do something similar tomorrow and ideally get to film something on Wednesday.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 106, February 14, 2022

Spent about 90 minutes on GEARS. Frustrating session. I'm backtracking after today to look at the face/elbow/wrists as I think that's affecting the way the hips behave on the downswing.
