Day 133, March 13, 2022

Quick session at the end of a long day and before the start of a long week. I'll work pretty hard to get my 5 minutes in over the next five days.

Day 76: 3/13/2022

I've already putted for about 15 minutes this morning.

I was up before everyone and for what ever reason decided to clean my putting green. Then I did gate drills using the putting mirror for about 15 minutes.

Ideally, I'll get to the range or hit balls in the garage today too. But we shall see.

Hope the full swing is in shape for Tuesday.

Day 67: Went to the range with my son. Hit balls while working on my new priority piece. Got some videos of it as well. Think I need to work on the feel more based on those. But contact and ball flight was decent. Then putted for a bit with my 3 wood, because I left my putter in my office at home. Oops.

Day 8.  I had three 5+ minute sessions over the course of my day, all in my indoor practice room (off a mat, into a net, real balls).  One was with my 58 degree practicing quarter shots;  one was full shots with an 8-iron;  the other full shots with 6-iron.  All were slow swings as a conscious effort.

Day 10: Two short game drills.  The first trying to hit into an 8 foot circle from 10,12,14,16,18,20 feet.  Tried with 8I and 56*.  Turns out to be difficult!  I make fewer mistakes and get better distance control with the 8I for now, but it's coming with the 56*.  Then did the short game frill "Sort Game 50" from LSW - took 27 shots.

Day 514: Pi Day! Got to the range today. Worked on the same pieces. Then worked through the bag trying to do a slight fade with each club. Flight was mostly push fades with occasional draws. Finished with chipping.

day 10 - went to the range and practiced the Covid Practice Plan part 5 (delivering the club-head).. unfortunately it's a bit tricky to film there, so I don't have it on video.. then I also practiced some chipping and went a round on the par 3 course with a friend of mine who was also there to train.. we played matchplay and I won with 2 up making a birdie on the last hole where it was already so dark that we couldn't see the balls until we got close to the green.. mine was about 3 meters from the pin and his was just off..  all in all I spent just over an hour there

cheers Chris

"Kisner" drill

I had to search for this... and found it here:

Very cool.  I was actually practicing chipping with left and reight hand only earlier today, in my front room.

Yup, great drill. Kiz gets Frankie Borrelli hitting some really good chips on the practice green after seeing him routinely skull the ball.

Was at the range today during lunch.

Hit balls focusing on my priority piece.
Did my footwork thing and my turn thing.

I have my second GEARS session tomorrow so we'll see how it goes.

Day 95 (14 Mar 22) - started with modified windmills.  Worked with left arm extended and rotating into it with the right arm - coming palm to palm.  Using it to reinforce the torso rotating thru and getting weight onto the lead foot.  Later today, got in the yard and worked on pitches with the 50 focused on rotating the torso and weight forward.

Day 134, March 14, 2022

Hit balls while a student was at lunch. Could have paid more attention, but spent about ten or twelve minutes doing it. So, box checked.

    • I have been on a roll in November. Today was a 77 (69.2/115, 6,050 yards) on a wet course with dew covered bumpy greens. Better greens and I might have shaved a few more strokes off the score.
