I tried to hit a wedge over a tree today, but i skulled it into the trunk and it bounced back past me, hit the tire of my cart and landed right back where it started, all in a split second.

This girl on my high school golf team hit her ball thin, on a 120 yard par 3, bounced before the bunker, through the bunker, and then in the hole for an ace

Ok, animal lover, and that's why your avatar is you holding a dead fish

Was on the 18th tee box and slipped and hit the ball with the toe of my club and the ball went straight left and hit the tee marker and went back about 15 yards.  My two buddies would not stop laughing.  I put my second shot into the right rough with a terrible looking shot.  My 3rd shot was about 185 from the hole and I hit a perfect 6 iron to 4 feet from the cup.  Made the par putt while my friends both took bogey's on the hole.  It was my turn for a laugh at them.

I was playing Tobacco Road my first and only time, and hit a tee shot into some pines. Thought I could rocket one through the trees to get close to the green. My friend, who had helped me locate the ball, was a few feet away. Just as soon as I hit the ball, it came back like a bullet and hit me in the side of the leg and dropped me like a sack of potatoes! Dern pines! My buddy was just about to pass out laughing!

idk if it counts cuz it was on a chipping area. out of a trap i over shot the green it hit the net bounced back and rolled right into the cup.

I once hit 3 wood from the middle of the fairway sliced it hard right it hit a metal pole and and shot left onto the green.

Had a friend tee up and hit it right into some scrub oak and the ball stuck right in the V of a branch about 2 feet off the ground.

Geesh...I've been playing long enough that I could make 1,000 posts on this topic alone.

One funny one comes Immediately to mind.....  I am standing on #9 tee (par3) heading back towards the clubhouse when a guy on #1 hits his tee shot straight sideways 150yds (exactly sideways) and it bounces off the roof of the clubhouse, off the deck railing, and onto the 9th green.  THAT FOLKS....is hard to do.  If you could see the angles involved to accomplish this......you would be amazed.

OK..I have 1 more:

My group had just finished playing a short downhill par3 that is surrounded by trees.  The next tee is back up the hill so we backtrack to almost even with the par3 tee to our next tee-box.  As we wait for the fairway to clear, a guy in the group behind us hits his approach to the par3 and immediately starts cursing his shot.......we hear LUMBER..... and then screams.......the guy it his ball in the woods and the trees spit the ball into the cup for an ace....

I could go on and on.....LOL

I will never forget this shot I hit, this happened on one of the first times ever playing the game of golf on a "real" course, so I was pretty much a hack. I went to hit my tee shot (Driver), on my downswing I hit so far under the ball that it went straight up in the air about 20 feet, and without taking one step I caught it. Should've seen the divot I left!

In college, my cousin was lining up a three wood on the first hole, a 520 yard par five.  His girlfriend - who later became my ex-wife - was standing in front of the cart in front of him.  He told her to move behind the cart, and swung as she was walking around the cart.  Well, he caught it off the toe, and the ball ricochets off the left front tire of the cart and hits her square in the ass.

Best shot of the day . YEAR.

While playing a par 4 at Babe Zaharias golf course in Port Arthur, Tx, I hooked one into a tree from about 170 yd out. I saw the leaves fly out of the tree and the ball dropped to the ground, except that those weren't leaves! Poor little bird was laying on the ground right next to the ball. I still laugh at how big the feather-cloud was. Pooooof!

My ball landed about six feet off the left side of the fairway about ten feet behind a mid-size tree.  The trunk was probably no larger around than a standard wooden fence post.  Rather than pitch back onto the fairway I thought I could squeeze the ball past the tree in front of me.  I made my swing and hit the tree trunk square, the ball bounced back to nearly it's original position.  Not having learned my lesson and thinking that it couldn't possibly happen two times in a row I swung again.  The ball again hit the tree trunk square and bounced back to nearly the original position.  Although, I'm sure it's not uncommon to hit trees I found it bizarre that I hit nearly the identical shot twice in a row.

I finally took my medicine and pitched the ball out into the fairway to continue on with my round.

I've had plenty of shots careen off trees and things like that (one even bounced off the tree straight back towards me on a tee shot and ended up behind me) but my most memorable bizarre shot has to be ...

Several years ago I was playing a cruddy old muni in Fresno and had a short SW approach on a par 4, probably 60 or 70 yards.  I proceeded to blade it and sent it screaming (at basically head height) for the airport runway behind the course.  The wind was blowing just enough that the flag was flapping, and the ball hit the flag (not the stick, the actual flag), got wrapped up in it enough to slow it down, and ended up on the back of the green, leaving me a putt for birdie.

I will never forget when my mom decided to take up the game and she took some lessons from the local pro and one of her assignments was to either practice at the driving range between lessons or at least to practice her swing.

So one day Mom realizes she hasn't practiced and her lesson is the next day, so she decides to practice her swing in the house .... and on her first backswing she takes out the dining room chandelier. I don't know if she was madder at having broken the light fixture or at her sons who were rolling on the floor laughing.

I'm like Buckeye, too many stories to tell - but one of my favorites is while playing a HS match, my best friend flew his ball into the cup on a par 3, it hit the bottom and bounced out and with the spin now on it, it rolled 25 feet off the green; he was pissed, I was shocked and laughing and he made bogey.

Short par 4, plays 300-315 depending on where the tee markers are.  Pretty tough drive, where a bit short (where my drive will end unless I really smash it) there's a bunker protecting the front right fo the green and a cart path and brush past it to the left.  I'm not feeling smart, decided to go for it anyway.  Hit an ugly low pull hook.  It hits exactly at the corner of the curb of the cart path about 40 yards left and maybe 40-50 yards short of the green.  The curb is angled perfectly, my ball ricochets forward and right, stops at about 15 feet.  Didn't sink the eagle putt but got the bird!

Par 3, ~190. Random playing parter pulls out a hybrid.  Thins the hell out of it, doesn't travel more than 30 yards before skipping on the ground, but it came off hot.  It skips and bounces a few times, then starts rolling maybe 10 yards in front of the green, rolls, rolls, rolls, drops in the cup on a mid-back pin!  Only ace I've ever seen.
