Probably my pitching wedge. My favourite club, actually.

Putter, Driver then 5 wood, then 7 iron (I almost always play from the fairway and like to pitch and run, rather than try to throw darts).

I use my PW alot! Because of not playing enough (joining club), I find myself short and to a side of the green. I have to do a lot of bump & runs.

Driver on just about every par 4 and 5 imaginable out there. 3 wood every so often. (14-18 depending)

Next up is the pitching wedge (probably 10-15-ish, depending how bad my iron play is that day).

I hit my 60* the most. I use from 95 and in, and for most chips, it's a very versatile club for me I can run it if i need to, put some back spin on it, and use the flop shot.

Throughout my short golf experience I tend to leave my drive or my second shot on a par 5 around 125 yards or less. I've practiced with my 50 degree wedge so at full swing my distance is (depending on wind and elevation) 125 yards average; a three-quarter swing give me 100 yards, and half swing 50 yards.

Mine would be the Gap Wedge. Mine is a 50 degree. I use it on almost anything near the green. I also hit it on everything under 120 yards. I even hit it from the tee on short par 3's. In a nine hole round I could hit it anywhere from a couple times (good) to a lot of times (bad). I feel comfortable with it in my hands. My first one was an inexpensive TopFlite that I won as a door prize at an outing. When I added it to my bag in 2005 it paid immediate dividends. The second round I played with it I holed out from 93 yards. The following year I upgraded to a Cleveland 588. Then last year bought my set 4-GW instead of 3-PW. I am actually considering a 54 degree to bridge the distance between my 50 and 58.

Definately use the 7 iron. It is very consistant. Never lets me down.

Under normal conditions I would say Driver. If I'm playing up to my potential and hitting greens in regulation then Driver. But I also believe it depends on the course you are playing that dictates the clubs you hit and the amount of each....bwgolfer

I think I hit the 3 iron the most after a putter. I use it to punch out after I hit my drive into the trees on most holes!

Unfortunately, I'd have to say I use my 52-degree sand wedge the most after my putter. No matter how long I've been playing, my greens in regulation % still isn't worth a flip. It's crazy, but if I'm chipping really well, my scores usually reflect it. If I'm not chipping well, I have a lot of bogeys and doubles.

I'd have to say driver. Depending on where I am playing I will hit driver between 8 and 14 times. Sometimes it may be my 55deg wedge that I use most often as I will use it for pitch shots from anywhere between about 100 to 40 yards in, throw in a few missed greens and some bunker shots and it may come out as the most used. I use a lot of different clubs around the green.

If I could hit the rest of my clubs the way I hit my 3 Iron I'd be on the PGA tour. It's the only club in my bag that almost never gets me in trouble. I hit it long and I hit it straight, which is more than I can say for the rest of them. I just don't get it. Today I decided that from now on I'm only going to carry a 3 iron and a putter. I bet I'll shave off a bunch of strokes that way.

    • Rule 1.2b refers you to a section in the Committee Procedures (Section 5I) that helps explain what a Code of Conduct may (and may not) do.  Defining acceptable behavior (including smoking) and applying Stroke of DQ penalties are certainly within the Committee's authority. That Code of Conduct certainly should be available, either in written form or in a webpage accessible to all.  It may not show up on the "standard local rules" for an organization, the "hard card", as it sounds like its a policy of this particular golf course. Assuming that's the case it should show up on the Notice to Players for this particular event.  If you can't find it, ask someone, send an email, try to find out.   In summary, yes the Committee can DQ (or withdraw) a Player for smoking, even before or between rounds.  But its up to you to go from there, communication is the key here.

    • Hmm... I not sure I completely understand. If the course has a no smoking policy, then he shouldn't smoke at the course.  I'm assuming since you are aware of the policy, it must be written down somewhere.  As far as getting disqualified from the tournament, I would think that would be up to the committee. But it feels like it is within their power to disqualify, so why take the chance?
