Great play by Molinari. He earned it, playing with the Tiger circus.

That last missed putt by Tiger wouldn't have affected the outcome today, but I think it also put him out of the WGC.

And I hope NBC never gets another major. The amount of commercials was ridiculous.

Very small chance Tiger can make Akron now.

Well-deserved. Molinari had a game plan and totally stuck to it.

Currently focusing on: Key 4 - shorter backswing.

A four putt gives Tiger a tie for fifth (moving Xander out of the top-5 entirely), which I thought would get him in... but it may be too big a tie.

No a three putt would have been T5 for Tiger. And gotten him IN Akron I think.

I might be looking at it wrong.  Xander's 2-putt kept him at -6, T2.  A 3-putt and he's one stroke fewer and...

I can't believe how close Rose came to winning.  I heard the announcers say several times that he made the cut on the number, but I never heard anyone point out that "the number" was +2 almost all day Friday, and just moved to +3 in the last hour or two.  If a couple of guys hadn't made bogey, he would have gone home early.

      Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow.

      Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.

      That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness.

      Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
