Maybe Golf Channel might be interested?

The company lost more than $120 million last year and plans to put three of its 14 magazines — Brides, Golf Digest and W — up for sale, three executives said. The marquee titles, including Vogue, Vanity Fair and The New Yorker, are safe.

I really can't stand GD anymore. I stopped getting the magazine a long time ago, and the website is insufferable. It's very clickbait-y, each redesign seems to make it more sparse and annoying to use, and there's a lot of crap that you have to dig through to find any good writing.

Maybe they'll change if they sell, but I doubt it.

As long as they continue to give it away free (Michigan golf show), I'll read it.   I wouldn't pay for it.

Same here. I stopped using their website when they changed it a couple of years ago. I can't think of the last time I subscribed to the magazine.

So Cal golf show did this too.  That accounted for most of my time with Golf Digest, although back in November I think I paid $9 for a year's subscription that included some goodies (I haven't been to So Cal golf show in years).  I got an email from them a few days ago reminding me that I would auto-renew my subscription for $30/year if I didn't opt out.  So I opted out and they told me it'd take two days to do so.  I did this yesterday and made a note in my calendar for tomorrow to confirm that it happened.  Not sure if I consider it worth $9 for that year, but it certainly wasn't worth $30.  Also it's evidently only 11 issues not 12.

Just the same, they had the integrity to tell me they'd auto-renew and give me a chance to opt out with time to spare, unlike some other companies / services I probably could mention, so bravo to them.

Lastly, did Mark Broadie write for one of these magazines on occasion?  I wouldn't mind reading those articles.

I had a family member buy me a subscription....

It was a nice thought because he knows I am new to golf and eager to soak up new ideas, etc....

I read through most of the first two issues that were delivered to me. It didn't take me long to realize that the golf content was watered down and the tips and advice seemed confusing and contradicted some things I had heard/learned from reliable sources.

Anyway, it's been a year and I'm fairly certain that I haven't even taken a peak at the rest

I subscribed to GD 40-45 years ago, when it was still worth reading. My next door neighbor, who doesn't golf, started getting Golf Magazine last year for some unknown reason. She gave them to me and I was just stunned at how bad it was! The editors seem to spend all their time thinking up cute and clever turns of phrase, and there were at least 6 contradictory ideas in every action packed issue!

A recipe for confusion.

These two comments are why I suggest subscribing your upcoming opponents in match play competitions to these magazines.  Well worth the subscription price ;-)

Golf Digest can't be a money maker. It's just not a good magazine. Their articles online are just click bait. And I've never found their normal articles to be that good. Their instructional articles are better used for kindling.
