Just looking at the playoff - it will be an hour between the first group and the last group, meaning that if you make par you have to wait until someone makes birdie, and if you make birdie you have to wait for the last group to see how many make birdie and then they will regroup and play 18.
When I went to the US Am in Houston they had, if I remember correctly, something like a 22-3 playoff. They played 1 hole then postponed the rest until the next day, which I think went 8 or 9 holes to get to the final spot.

This is pretty fun to watch. 2 guys with makeable birdie putts blew them about 6 feet beyond the hole. I think the birdie might take it.

2 birdies on 17, so 2 players advanced to 18.

One guy came really close to chipping in for a birdie ... but he was on the green and didn't pull the flag. So if he had chipped in, he would have gotten a 2 stroke penalty.

What a crazy finish - Kuest hits his 2nd shot into the ocean, takes a drop and 3 puts for and 8, allowing Bergeron to lay up his 3rd shot short of the bunker and he makes a bogey 6 to advance to match play.

Shame that this kid lost based on something he had nothing to do with. Seems like a rule that might need to be amended in order to help with pace of play?

Caddies and players are expected to walk the length of the course. They can take a cart ride back to the tee and forward for their second ball if they hit one OB or something, but they have to walk the course once.

Should taking a bathroom break be part of "walking the course once" .  Can't they walk the entire course, but get a lift to the bathroom, as they still would be walking the entire course.?

He didn’t go back to the porta-John then get a ride back. He had stopped at the Porta-John then took the cart to catch up. So he didn’t walked the hole completely.

I’m liking this. Has this been on FS1 in previous years and I just missed it?

This kid Hovland is one to watch.

I saw the highlights from Hovland's semi final. They are so good with the irons.

Fun to have a Norwegian making some noise on the larger scenes.
