I got this a month or two ago (the iOS app only shipped at the end of August, and it wasn't fully featured at that time). I need to email them to figure out how to use the wrist portion if you don't use a glove. But otherwise… I'm looking forward to experimenting with this more.

I watched the videos and can see the significance of the device.   I'm interested in reading reviews.

I have spent years trying to not think about my wrists.  This device is not for me.  It could be a godsend for those who haven't been thinking about their wrists enough.

I'm not suggesting it for golfers. It's pretty pricy for that.

But… for instruction, and even "research," it's a good tool. And I do think it'll be a godsend (so to say) for putting.

I didn't give that a prior thought but you're right.   Very cool.

I can see that.  It depends on what is wrong.  My idea is that every pass, through the ball, has a percentage grade.  Whether that is high or low is independent of the result.  A good golf shot looks like you imagined it would.  I get what you are saying but I both do and do not think of it that way.

What do you mean?

I don’t think it’s independent. It’s also pretty consistent.

I mean that the swing and the resulting shot are separate to me.  My best swing, of the day, does not always produce the best shot.  An exceptionally good pass will often propel the ball thru the corner or over the green.  That is disappointing and encouraging at the same time: the swing felt great but I used the wrong club.

Maybe. But more often than not, a better swing results in a better shot. Hence why some of these tools are valuable - they correlate what something feels like to what it's actually doing.

This thing seems super cool. I’m interested what you learned. But your money, your effort, your research. So it’s not fair to ask 10,000 questions...so I’ll limit to one.

Ive noticed the best putters in my group (Good group, couple plus handicaps -so not slouches) all just barely forward press the putter before they take it back. Not really enough to even call a forward press (but I suppose the lead wrist would go into flexion a tad before takeaway?). I seem to keep my short putts on line better this way .

My question is: how to the wrists tend to work on the putting takeaway? (for decent putters) I know putting is very variable, but I bet there’s a trend among good putters.

I noticed the Lite version is available now. Dunno if it's recent or has been out there for awhile.

I thought this the cheaper, more mass market model they were working on?

I preordered two of those if so.

So again what’s different?

😁

It actually looks like the same thing at half the price, just no desktop OS interface. That’s from a quick look though.

    • Day 35 (26 Feb 25) - Day of easy work (hanging around the house as son had shoulder surgery and I needed to help keep an eye on him).  Worked on low spinner 50deg wedges - keeping the ball low flighted and checking quick.  Went with the 8i after to do low flighted runners.  Great visit on two ways to get the same/similar results.  May be able to get away tomorrow for a short 9hole round (as long as the son's recovery cooperates).....
    • Day 1: 2/26/2025: So, I'm starting over on this again.  My son brought home the mother of all flu bugs from school. It raged though our house and knocked me on my butt for about 3 days.  Now, that I think I'm clear of the death plague my son gave me. I was able to rise early this morning and get some nice mirror work in. I felt stiff like a board for the first few swings, but loosened up and was able to get at least 20 minutes of first robotic slow swings and then gradually more fluid swings.  My focus was on the timing and fluidity of my priority pieces.
    • I use a MagSafe connector on my tripod. Occasionally I use those clips.
    • Working on some swing videos. What are you guys having the best luck with as far as devices used to record the swing?  I have a tripod with a magnet that I stick my phone on but it is somewhat of a pain because I have to remove the cover on my phone and when I pull it off the magnet the tripod head changes and moves position. I was thinking something more like an ipad maybe. On a different style tripod and maybe even set it up to mirror to a tv.
