2019 Snell Balls - MTB Black, MTB-X, Both White and Yellow

I with the rest of you on the MTB ball. I think I have few dozen of them I haven't gotten into.

I traded a half-dozen of my Blacks for a half-dozen Reds, but I think I prefer the Blacks.  I'll probably try the new X, maybe split a dozen with a friend, but I must have 4 dozen Blacks still waiting to be lost.  Still, its interesting to see how Dean is revising his line-up.

I'm staring at 12 dozen boxes of MTB Black… which fortunately didn't change (except to add yellow), plus a dozen MTB new-in-sleeve and an extra sleeve of MTB Black.

Plus I'm sure I have a few more sleeves scattered throughout the house or garage.

I didn't play nearly as much as I thought I would last year, apparently. I'm going to hand out sleeves this year to people I like.

Hanging out here and then playing in real life is like black and white. Rando people I get paired with no nothing of Snell. Snell? They're like, what, I smell? 😝

Yeah, it's kinda funny how unaware people are, and how big "the golf market" truly is.

My league guys know about it and many of them play "found" balls. I gave a sleeve to our Commish and he really liked the black. Another guy plays the red.

The cost is what will bring customers in. 

In one of our tournaments, I lost a ball right off the tee. At the end of the tournament, the Snell Red guy found my Snell Black in the high grass and gave it back to me!

New Bedford is more of a fishing town. But it is right next to Fairhaven, so maybe Dean just likes the area.

I think he’s from there. At least was there for a long time with Titleist.

And my point was your area is likely more aware of Snell because of proximity.

Possibly. But I am not sure some of the guys in my league could find New Bedford on a map!

I may have to try the newer versions this year. The MTB Black was a bit of a disappointment for me unfortunately. I noticed a good bit of loss in my driver distance and a little bit in my long irons when compared to almost any other ball I used. I also split 2 balls with the driver. One ball came directly out of the sleeve and I split it in two. Have broke many range balls but not a brand new ball.

As mentioned in vid, had no idea yellow color was harder w/some plastics.

Colorant can affect plastics a lot. The can change the shrinkage of the plastic in molds and coating.
