  1. Past hour
  2. I've been using the 3.0s and I have yet to scuff one. Couldn't say that about the Prime X. On a side note, didn't Maxfil have a 6 piece ball at one time?
  3. Today
  4. Day 3 (4 May 24) - Easy pitch day with 9i in the backyard. Worked on staying smooth thru impact, keeping shots to 20yds or less.
  5. From what I’ve read, it was in the manufacturing process and how the covers were nicking pretty easy. He has had to resource his factory as the one used earlier is now a TM owned facility. Initial reports seem to indicate the redesign is going to be a winner…
  6. Day 129: 5/4/24 Stack training but could not certify my warmup speed. Dealing with a pulled neck muscle. Chips and pitches at a local course for about 15 minutes.
  7. Typically less than 50. I find this can be affected by the "CART" signs on a given course. I don't like taking my rangefinder out of the cart and carrying it around to the green. I am very fearful I will leave it somewhere.
  8. First ever holed out greenside bunker shot! It's crazy it took this long to finally get one during a round, but the cold streak is officially over. Hole 6 on the Palmer Course at PGAN. I hit my driver like 225 into a really stiff wind, then worm burned a hybrid into the bunker. I was about I dunno, 40-45 feet away. Birdie! Let's go! The red Xs the approximate location of each shot. Really fun!!
  9. Yesterday
  10. Day 23: Rained all day, so no ball hitting. Worked indoors on top of the backswing feel, and also putted around the living room working on bead.
  11. Played Four Oaks in Dracut today going back to the 2 man scramble match play format. My brother and I shot a team 81 winning 3 and 2. Had so many good shots today using a more centered turn. Seems to have really iginited my golf game. We'll see if I can keep it going.
  12. I read about him. Hopefully we have a good “Next Generation” in PGAT future
  13. He could’ve just said “I’m too stupid”, period.
  14. Day 299: played 18. Hit the ball well, but did not score well. I think I ended up +10, with half of that coming on 2 holes.
  15. Day 549, May 4, 2024 After lessons and working with Natalie, hit some balls for awhile. Just backswing stuff. Forgot about the slightly shorter stuff, though I'm sure it was as they were only about 75% speed with brief pauses.
  16. Not a coach, but this looks pretty solid to me! PGA TOUR (@pgatour) • Instagram reel 30K likes, 63 comments - pgatour on May 4, 2024: "Come for 16-year-old @kris.kim59’s near ace … Stay...
  17. Best drive I've ever hit: I will not be answering any questions about the rest of the hole. Or the round, for that matter.
  18. I tried hybrids way back when TaylorMade introduced the copper orange Firesole Rescue, the clubhead having been made of titanium which was still relatively new even in drivers back then. I couldn't hit it well at all, and while the success of hybrids suggests that the modern ones must be quite good, I'm perfectly happy with the 5, 7, and 9-woods. Early ones of mine were Top Flite Intimidator 400s made by Spalding... and also made of titanium, now that I think of it. I still have them in my basement. I do bag a driving iron, but it's a one-trick-pony that never sees fairway use.
  19. The last time I played Maxfli balls, Dunlop was still making them. How long ago was that? Mostly, though, I used to play Top Flites (original 336 dimple model) when Spalding was still making them. Now I play the Pro V1x. Last time that I ordered some, Titleist was still making them. Let's see how long that lasts.
  20. Once, on a course in Middleton, Massachusetts that I used to love but has since closed down, I hit the wrong half of a huge, UK style double green. Then I made the hundred foot putt. Tough to forget that one.
  21. No. But if I can still play next year, I'll almost certainly be even worse. That's the reality of not being young.🙁
  22. I use GPS; it may not be as accurate, but neither am I.
  23. Back in my Army days a "gooch" was a particular part of the anatomy. Example, say Okeechobee is the b-hole of Florida, then Belle Glade would be the gooch. Seems he wears his name well.
  24. I can't say that I remember a lot of individual putts, but I do have one specific memory. The first time I played the Old Course, I had hit a pretty good drive on the 6th hole. I had about 60 yards left, and due to the swale in front of the green, there was no chance of flying a wedge on or near the green and having it stop on the green. My caddie recommended either a running 7-iron chip or a putt, and I took the putter and a pretty hard swing. The ball rolled over humps and through hollows, disappeared into the swale in front of the green, and re-appeared heading right at the hole. I ended up maybe 12 feet away. The caddie turned and held out his hand to shake mine, and said "Now THAT was a golf shot!"
  25. For the first time since 2021, I made a 3 on the 12th at Stoneleigh. 395 yards, something like 80 feet uphill, I hit a solid drive and a 7-wood to inside a foot. Even I couldn't miss that one. I feel like I haven't played a lot of golf this year, but I'm making decent progress.
  26. Wordle 1,050 5/6 ⬜🟨🟨⬜🟩 🟨🟩⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟩⬜🟨🟩 ⬜🟩🟩🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I felt all were good shots, but bogey it is. Maybe this hole was a par 5?
  27. I've never understood the handedness thing, I'm a righty and have always worn my watch on the wright wrist 😬
